From something I read on the EA site when you load SPEC OPS you need to reinstall patch 1.12.
Even if you installed it beforehand........read it here

The sniper role is great in wider/open maps or if you make best use of the concealment to get up close to an enemy flag and and have a squad spawn off y ... |
