Sorry Mrix, but your gonna have to try even harder now.
Have it up to 8997. Will try for the extra 3 when i can be bothered. And for Assasins purpose, i've even included a screen shot for the non believers.

hurrah! \o/ a 715MHz overclock! Well played on that. Give us the low-down how you managed to get the chip to that. Is it stable? (Prime 95 overnight? or 5 mins before a mistake ) temps? etc |

Woop, as you know, i'm by no means a comp expert.
The overclock was done by simply changing the FSB to 345 (by muliplyer of 9) gives you 3100 nearly. just over in fact i think.
Upped the CPU voltage to 1.3 instead of 1.27.
It runs Prime 95 over night with no probs. And temp wise - Idle it's about 36 and under load (i.e battlefield 2) it goes up to about 46-48.
And it's as stable as ever |

thats a great score but you're using a different screen res - what do you get at 1280x1024
might not make too much difference but we gotta have a level playing field |

I dont think his monitor will do that res - its widescreen no?
Hey when it comes to overclocking, dont try to be clever, just do the simple things. A nice FSB increase, keeping all other buses (like PCI etc) the same and leaving RAM timings to auto (or decreasing if you can) means you PC wont go pop!
How did you get your temps down? You had issues with thermo last time I spoke to you. |
