Fave BF2 moments

I was thinking back yesterday to this time on Ghost Town where I managed to snipe a pilot from a moving chopper, and how I was so very chuffed afterwards. I got 4 kills from it too

Any of you guys got moments you treasure?

I sniped 2 guys in a row once with one shot was so lucky but like you said was a great feeling. All I got though was

My most jubulant times have usually come in matches when a piece of play has gone our way. I remember one particular time we rescued a game and won by one ticket, that was truly amazing!

Helicopter - Has to be with me and daxxy, he got his expert heli badge and i got my helicopster medal in one round of dalian! Awesome!

My best round, me and bertii tore up karkand once. We scored over 300 points between us when the server was more than half full! we had around 100 kills between us, i was medic, he was support and nothing could stop us!

The first time i TV missiled a jet i was well chuffed!

25 knife kills in one round on our server to get my expert badge (none of that cheating and going on a knife and pistol server 64 map size with 16 players!).

Oh and best of all the day i joined |2es!

Heres to good times and plenty more to come!

Myself and my mates playing Clean Sweep. Its taken us just about all round to get in the blackhawk, to get the right amount of meds, ammo,engineers etc. We had got the squad perfect. The plan was to go chucking c4 on flags, using the BH in the days before it got nerfed. So were ready to go, we have our pilot flying, the correct gunners manning the guns, .........round ends.

This isnt a huge prob as we now know who goes where with what kit etc and therefore it didnt take long to set up and take off on our "owning" mission. All 6 of us had been having a drink and a smoke whilst playing, spirits were high.

So off we go, leave Usmc Cleansweep, over the seas towards the first base, the Engineers are repairing, the gunners are gunning and Im sat there chucking C4 like its going out of fashion. 1,2,3,4, BOOOOM. I had tkd the whole squad, got kicked in the process and probably wasted 15 mins of our time at least. I eventually got back in, apolagised to my mates who were still laughing at what I had done. We laughed so much our faces were hurting.

This may not seem as funny to you as it did to us but it at least tells you two things.

1. Dont give me C4
2. Dont let me in your chopper.

I got so many memories from the year and whatever extra its been since I joined Res.

Funny moments, amazing achievements, plain arsing around. Some of my favorites though have to be:

a: In the early days of our 42 player server, having just upgraded from the 32, when the team balance was all f**ked up (some of the old guys will know what i mean here) and people could just switch teams at will. Well I fondly remember a round on Karkand when there were 8 or so Res members on one side versus everyone else... all 34 of em... mental action, huge scores, amazing teamplay, with res making a feint up the middle then flanking to cap Gatehouse, AND holding it against massive odds, and then winning the round with something like 100 tickets to 0.

b: Fell out of my seat funny moments, like when Daxx and Columbo somehow managed to TK me with a TV missile from thier chopper, while I was in a jet.

c: The day I killed a jet with a tank, and then somehow again in the same round... Oh yeah and the time a sniper killed me in the seat of my chopper only for me to see my now pilotless helo smack straight into the bastard (yes i did get a kill register on that one Laughing

)

d: Other memories that stick in my mind like... Playing alongside Cyrus for the first time... The first time I jumped into a Chopper with Assassin... The VERY FIRST Res intraclan, my squad and mrix's squad vs Cyrus's and Rogue's (A win for us mrix if I remember right Wink

)... arsing around when the first server struggled to get started, like inventing the game "hunt fatboy", where Mr FatboyMicrochip would hide as a sniper on Mastuur and the other 5 of us had to find him... Squaring off with Columbo for a knife fight in the middle of a round that lasted at least 5 minutes (while the battle continued around us) you got me in the end if I remember Lt... Holding a CP, just me and Rogue (sadly missed imo) against at least 10 enemy and defending it successfully, running around like bluearsed flies...

too many great memories to mention them all but its been fun guys... I gotta get on Bf2 more and make some more of them.

My moment came when messing about on a server I had running Special Forces with a |2es member we had called RedAim. We were the only ones on, stalking each other as snipers while waiting for more to join. I spotted him high up in a tower and as I raised the rifle to aim he came out of the tower on a zip line heading for a roof below. I pulled the rifle aim in front of him, took an educated guess at the lead and head shotted him from the zip line without him ever entering my scope! Lucky I know but very, very satisfying. Also satisfying was listening to RedAims language afterwards Laughing

THERE HAVE BEEN SOOM GREAT MOMENTS PLAYING WITH RES

yes i remember shooting you Maverick with that tv missile,it was heading smack on towards the enermy chopper and then this dirty great big jet flys right in front and Boom team kill

The day we played two rounds of Mashtuur with Lt in the tank and me as engineer,i think Lt got somthing like 55 kills and no deaths on both rounds me on the other hand i got snipped,naded,run over( guess who) and about 8 bloody repair points

I'll never forget the RES olympics racing around Fu She pass in the buggies,i never found out who won that one.The boat race around Dragon Valley with Mr Parkway having already planted C4 on the oppersitions boat and just waited for them to come in sight of the finishing line and BOOM (wtf)

I have also had some amazin moments playin.One of the best has to be blowing THC Boris to pieces whilst he was in a j10 and the best part of it was I did it with a eryx lol ! Ive also been involved with some amazingly good squad play with |2es players aswell but another stupid things that has happened to me was pressing the E button whilst in a jet extremely high and landing on the ground without using the parachute and not even dying Very Happy

Special Moments:

My special moments have not just been on the battlefield but in person also. I made some gd friend in this clan.

Ziggy's comes to mind! Chunky's Chest mosaic, Ghetto's chunks to name but a few!

But I have also had some great experiences and memories in the game. I remember one occasion when playing Jallabad I was the only Res member on my side with probably more then 6 or 7 on the the opposing side. The opposing squad came from Market and I managed to wipe out the whole squad, insane!

Iv fallen out of a plane only to land inside a silo hovering in mid air, with no way out bar suicide.

But I must admit my favorite pastime is sending Scouseandy to his grave ( what a guy ).

A perfect clan with great members and hopefully many gd future memories Very Happy

i think my fav moment was when i got my highest ever ranking of 9th on a nearlly full 12es server,1st time i'd ever cracked the top 10(probably the last too Rolling Eyes

). also one time on daquing oil fields. i was at the top of the highest chimney in sniper kit. i'd managed to pick off 8-10 enemy troops before they realised i was there. then managed to go on to kill about another 5 whilst being fired at by allsorts. untill war-slag pi**ed on my fire in a gunship!!

Many fond moments, but I remember playing Karkand in a squad with warslag (SL), duffer, wicker and frog late one night.
We all had a good laugh on TS and completely owned the map working as a tight disciplined squad.

was lying down as the MEC on jalalabad at the first point near some rocks sniping the enemy. heard a jeep drive up behind me, i turned around and saw a specs ops guy jumping out of the jeep and going prone, so i just shot my sniper rifle, unscoped and somehow got him right in the face.

the best part was finding out that it was geordie ^^

Hey daxx i dont know how i missed that legendary night off, i remember it well! you took a lot of hammering to keep me alive and you are right my kill streak was around 100, just a shame it was split over 2 rounds so it doesnt show in my stats!. I remember toward the end of the second round in the tank i think i had you and cyrus as engineers it was class!

I dont really go in the tank that much anymore, it will never live up to the days when we used to own mashtuur!
