BF2 Widescreen

any of you use the widescreen hacks?

look pretty simple...

+menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

?

Yep we have a few posts knocking about somewhere..
Havnt tried it on my new resolution though of 1900 by 1200.
will have to give it a go.

Just some more details I found to explain it a little clearer.....

Battlefield 2 does not have native widescreen support. To force a custom resolution, edit your game shortcut so it looks like the following:

"C:\Program Files\EA Games\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1.15 +widescreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900
or
"C:\Games\BF2\BF2.exe" +widescreen 1 +szx 2560 +szy 1600

Edit the numbers after '+szx' abd '+szy' to match your desired resolution. '+szx' is horizontal and '+szy' is vertical. In the first example, the game would launch in 1440x900 (16:10). In the second example, the game would launch in 2560x1600 (16:10).

P.S. works only to a point

v1.5 patch will have the goods as regards wide screen resolutions, i too am still waiting for the frickin' patch to come out

yeah...
ran it last night with the parameters i posted..
but, looking at the screen, was hard pressed to tell the diff.
not sure if the res took or not.

when i opened options to check after playing a bit, BF2 locked up and i went to sleep instead of messing with it.

gonna try another hack i found..
it's a little bit of software that, if i understood correctly, actually makes changes to the reg keys for BF2.

will report back if i find it useful, or safe.

oh, yeah..
