test out v1.40 servers

i've been playing the the 1.4 patch last couple days the map is masive if any one wants to try it out it's pritty simple to do
just dl the v1.40 patch and follow these steps

1.creat a folder on destop call BF2124 or somet,then create sub folder's in that folder called installed 2142 and the other called 2142Beta

2.go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts and right click the 2142 folder and selct copy then navigate back to ya bf2142 folder on desktop and past it to the Installed 2142 folder you created earlier (what this does is copy ya installed game befor you run the patch so it is still v1.25)

3.now execute the 2142Beta patch and let it run

4.navigate back to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts and right click the the Bf2142 folder and copy then navigate to the 2142 folder you created eariler on ya desttop and paste it to the 2142Beta folder.
So now in that folder on ya desktop you have two versions 1.25 in the installed folder and the 1.40 version in the 2142Beta folder
5.now execute ya bf2142 game and it should boot up as normal the only diffrence is all ya fav servers will be in red and there will be a selection 1.4 servers to play on and try the map (good for having the upper hand when the offical patch comes out)

now to put it back to v1.25 is very easy just follow these steps

navigate to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts and delete the BF2142 folder
now go to Desktop\bf2142\BF2142installed\ and copy the Battlefield 2142 folder back to
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts and run the game
hey presto back to norm no need to completly un/install game Wink
