a question for someone in the know. do i need gamespy arcade on my computer to play bf2? zone alarm internet security suite has quarantined it as it is an adware program. i only play bf2 and very occassionally ut2004 online,so if not needed for these then i can delete. cheers lads. |

I dont have gamespy arcade installed,it should be a separate program alltogther to the one needed by BF2 as the one bf2 uses in automatically installed with the game and not a separate install like the arcade,which i recall asks u within the game installation to put it in,i uninstalled mine with my dungeonsiege game ages ago and no problems with bf2 or 2142.
But for a test what i do to see if a program is needed is just change the folder name or cut and paste the folder on another hardrive or folder and see if anything does not run,if they run fine i know it isnt a needed program. |

cheers mate. trying to get rid of any crap on my pc and things i don't need to make sure nothing can slow it down. not a very high spec so every little helps. thanks |
