PunkBuster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTF is going on over at Evenbalance? For days now I've been getting kicked because of this "handshaking" with PunkBusterB failing thing.

I've tried all the tips etc from the forums, manually updated using pbsetup, turned off virus software, turned off my firewall, you name it.

Yes PnkBstrA is a running process, I stop all unnecessary programs. sometimes I can get it to work, sometimes not. I've even taken to running pbsetup before I load the game - but today - kicked again.

Anybody have any ideas - I'm getting seriously p***ed of?

Come on Evenbalance get your act together as trust in Punkbuster has got to be dwindling..........

Thsnks dude. I just found and tried another file - called pbsvc.exe and that seems to have sorted things out.

That said, I just tried to log on to your server and I got booted back to the desktop! Gotta go to work now so I'll see wot happens in the morning!!

I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!

Just went online and guess what - kicked for the handshake thing - again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then tried uninstalling and re-installing pb - the program did self-diagnostic - worked fine, ran pbsetup - worked fine - started bf2 - joined server - bloody kicked again for handshake failure!!!!

WTF is going on??? Any ideas wot I can try now?????????????????????

Have you patched BF2 to 1.4?????

I only bought the thing in May as part of the "Complete Collection" and it's been working fine right up to the point Evenbalance started farting about with pb.

Any idea where the game'll tell me which version I'm running?
