JETS!!!!!!!

Is it just me, or do other people find jets one of the most fun-spoiling things in BF2? Many's the time I've been having a nice little rocket battle with another chopper, ducking and diving, rolling, launching off TV missiles - a right good fight - then blam!! some pillock in a jet swoops in and wipes one of us out. Where's the fun in that? Okay his kills are gonna go up but it must be pretty boring flying from one end of the map looking for an easy target or waiting for a flag to get neutralised so you can drop a couple bombs on it on spec.

From what I've seen so far, it's only the inadequate players who take to the jets cos they can't hack it in anything slower, lower or with less firepower!!

You need "Top Gun 27" to help you shoot down those pesky jets if they buzzing you, giving you a hard time. I have witness's who will testify that I tv'd two jets in one round. Don't ask me how I did it though. Use the "hit and hope" method.

I agree with mrix though as you can't please everyone with this game. Wether Jets are your thing, Choppers, or jeeps, Dalian or Mashtuur. Pounding the ground or staying in the air, the good thing about this game is it offers so much.

If you can't beat them, join them. Or thats what I thought. Learn how to fly the jet, Ive tried and failed miserably. One thing I did learn though is its not as easy as the pilots make out buzzing round everywhere, switching weapons and taking you out without tk's they really do make it look easy, well most pilots do.

My only advice is try and cap as many flags as possible whilst in a building or tunnel. (eg, Kubra Dam, cap the middle flag from inside the tunnel). My dislike of jets is probably why I like city maps so much.

jets are just 1 thing i hate about BF2, but when i have a good round like 50-9 then all is forgotten and i love everything about BF2..........untill i start to get raped again, then i hate the game and the cycle begins lol

man was never meant to fly,thats why rogue spends most his time on the ground. have been practicing in the choppers though. can fly quite well now. the problem is flying and shooting something at the same time. practice makes perfect though (at least thats what i'm told). jets on the other hand are like a wasp at a picnic. impossible with a mouse and keyboard. i've got a decent joystick,only problem is i configure the controls in game to work, but then next time i play i have to re-configure them again. this keeps happening, and don't know why so don't bother any more. Confused

I agree they take skill in flying but they're still bloody annoying when they you're in a chopper fight and one whizzes in and pops either you or your enemy in the ass!! Kinda makes you feel robbed if he takes out an enemy you've been sparring with for ages, nibbling little bits out of.....
