Medal of Honour Airborne has narrowly held off stiff competition from Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08, outselling its fellow EA title by just 78 units.

Thats one way to piss slaggy off! Didnt get chance to install it last night but i will be doing tonight so anyone who has it if you fancy a blast i will be on tonight! yey!

Here are some other quotes i found from reviews:

"...What Airborne is, however, is a franchise reboot of ‘Die Another Day' to ‘Casino Royale' proportions, and one of the most intense, thoroughly enjoyable FPS games to have appeared in this generation."

"EA manages to turn around the fortunes of its venerable WWII franchise with a surprising, innovative game that might just be the best of its type."

Played the demo and really enjoyed it, but I've read review articles complaining that the single player side is too short, only six missions, and some have got through the whole thing in < 6hrs from install. Let us know how you get on with it LT, 'cos I may still get it anyway, especially if the multiplayer side makes up for the singleplayer shortcomings.

Ive loved the MOH series on all platforms. My very first ever online multiplay game was MOHAA (that the one where you had to get people out of a cell at the bottom of a lighthouse?). I'll be getting this when I got the funds and hopefully join you. I havent read any bad reports yet which is encouraging.

You will like it mate. The game is very realistic and it feels quite good to say it has just come out and it has not really been tweaked.

I think it will be a fun clan game, like CoD 2 but better.

One of things I like about BF2 so much is the chance to see how and where you can improve your game (stats). Will this be backed up by stats?

The only put off for me on the old MOH game was how laggy and grenadey it was online. Is this laggy at all?

Are there many people playing online? Lots of servers?

Thanks in advance.

Hey mate it was a touch laggy but there were no dedicated servers - i reck once the dedis come out that will be fixed.

As far as i know there is no stats program like BF2, but there are upgrades you can get in the game for a run of good form!

There were plenty on last night (enough for a mess about) i expect this to multiply when the servers come out in a week or two!

First impressions were good but you need to see it with proper servers etc

I hadn't read the other thread until I had posted my questions. The dedicated servers will be wicked by the sounds of it and having no stats don't really put me off. Stats in BF2 are only a bonus to the game I still played it (maybe more than atm) when stats were down.

I did buy Medal of Honour for the wii but it was $hit so I took it back and got Res Evil instead.

Im getting a new pc this week hopefully Friday with the intention of playing the new MOH and Crysis on so hopefully I wont be left behind.

Have you had a good crack at single player yet? If so how far are you? (6 Chapters right?)
