Guys is anyone interested in at least one fully tactical night of cod4 two pre arranged teams two ts channels and a league or something, could we get a match server? or could we password protect our public server for matches and one night a week for tactical....

Tactical =
No camping unless defending no knife whoring unless the situation allows for it, no nade spamming and no p90.

Nade launchers are allowed to be used in tactical situations instead of running arround with it out ang shooting people point blank.

Nade spam is throwing nades without knowing their intended target, ir nading spawn points

If you are defending a bomb or hq then it is ok to defend it but if you are attacking or sitting behind a wall with high traffic and shooting people thats camping, sniping is the only exception.

the aim is to be as tactical as we possibly can. - EDIT

I think this would improve our game play much better than if we just pwn on the public.
The above suggestion is based on the fact we want to become competetive clan @ war, some people might not like to play on that level they may just was a little fun?

So lets poll.

I'm game. Are noob tubes banned in competitive games too? If so add em to the list.

Also maybe i'm being dumb but could you define camping. You mean camping spawns or general camping? By no nade sopamming do you mean the noobtube / triple frag-special perk or nades at all?

Seriously though this sounds a great idea, part of my attraction and reason for joining a clan is for some competitive matches and league play (otherwise my gaming pants are redundant !)

tbh knife kills are not exactly easy and occasionally take a bit of strategy (It just gets frustrating for some when they are knifed 5-6 times in a row - i think you were fit to explode last night jiro ! Wink

Define nade spamming? Mindless lobbing of grenades in random directions- yes? For instance I carry 3 grenades and generally use them to clear the area ahead (exploding cars!) or enemy HQ's, which I don't consider spamming.

Camping is another hard call. I think camping spawn points should be frowned upon, but guarding(camping) choke points and killzones is fair game.

I think thats a great idea jiro,

I would like to make my point from the view of a 3deaths to 1 kill player.

Personally I have taken a weeks 'sulk' break coz i was getting annoyed with myself.
I know myself to be one of the weaker players as I cant commit much time to gaming as i would like.
I think this would be a great way of keeping the lower gamers involved as personally if i am working with a team, each watching eachothers backs and reporting enemy sightings, then the game is much more realistic, intense, exciting - and playable.
And getting killed can be for a cause if its helping the team.
That I can do.

As a clan we are great for support and friendship, but to keep it from being the l33ts whooping the weaks, this could be a great opportunity.

Can we do a bit of tactical hardcore S&D?

A few ideas for "|2es Tactical COD Night 1"

1. Once we have an agreed date and time perhaps people who are interested can post here along with their prefered role/loadout (ie support/fodder/sniper/recce!)

2. Participating players are split into 2 teams, each with a designated squad leader for the evening.

3. People post 3 prefered maps and gametypes.

I am really happy with the feedback guys, thank you.

We need to speak to mrix alonso cyrus and geordie about arranging this but in the mean time we can agree on a night to play create the teams and use another existing channel that is empty in ts as our second cod4 channel.

Teams:
A or B you guys just post a or b and at the end if we need to we can refine.

I will join B

I suggest we use the second 2142 channel.

My load out will be the .50 cal and a pistol with 3 frags stopping power and iron lungs
or
m4 silenced with 3 frags double tap and deadly silence.

Maps,

Overgrown (S&D)
Pipeline (sabotage)
District (headquaters)

Mainly I'll most likely be packing something with a silencer attached and 3 frags. This will usually be accompanied with double tap/stopping power and steady aim/deep impact.

Hmm. I actually like all the maps and gamet ypes so not sure on those atm, will have a think.

As for load outs, i chop and change all the time, currently between the RPD, G3, G36c and the auto-shotty. I'm willing to take on any combat role that isnt sniping. Smile
