mmm I wasn't overly impressed by the beta and was going to wait on reviews by members who have had a punt on it Wink

Not sure tbh. I'm skint at the moment so would only want to shell out of it was decent AND had a decent number of members playing/intending to play..

I still love COD4 to bits so i'm not in any rush for a new game yet.

WOW I will have a game before Darf - Holy ^&*^ - that is if they have it in Sainsbury's which thinking about it they prolly wont!

Yeah i am gettin it - need a distraction from COD4 - that doesnt involve spaceship, battleship or MMO related!

Looks like the released version has some serious bugs...

There is already a patch but it doesn't deal with 2 major issues

Well I think its a good game - recone drones ftw

The maps I have played are excellent - the balance between air whores and infantry is good and working as a squad you can really get a good defence - offence working.

Playing as a sniper you get a planted grenade launcher which is handy and as infantry I had a great laugh with a Sentry gun (for air and ground targets) and a planted manned chain gun to get people in a cross fire. Its a bit crazy joining during a battle - ala 2142 but I think its pretty damn good.

I will defo be splitting my time between Frontlines and COD4 for a while to see if it has long term appeal because the maps are very well thought out - jeep whoring round an airfield and sniping from raised motor way bridge!!

Also first time i got smashed ona roof by a heli and thought i was dead as i fell to the ground only to realise that it was the roof collapsing from the heli impact and I was still alive!!

very much worth it, its better than 2142, squad work atmosphere balance and fun, all the maps are good in fact excelent but beware of bunny hoping noobtubers i am afraid.

Its well balanced but if you on a small map and 90 of the enemy are those wonderful animals mentioned above your in for a long slog, the only option in those circumstances is to either become one or spawn camp them.

Invasion is the most excelent map, I wont spoild it but step aside airwolf....!!1

Most fun I have had in ages - new term Dronecamping - when you keep sending in drones and blowing campin bastards up Smile

The look on a snipers face when your heli pops up infront of him and blows seven shades out of him is a joy to behold - My son watched me do it and now wont stop asking if he can have a go!!

The better you play the more unlocks for your class u get in that game - I am enjoying it and can foresee cod4 like the innards of my pc slowly gathering dust!!

Once they sort out the noob server browser this could be the dogs nads for cod4 and bf2 peeps it is BF2 meets BF2142 imagine the best of both and there u have it

Be warned tho Geordie the rocket man can now shoot at tanks and planes Smile
