Hi
Im no longer on TS so wont be using that, Would say its prob better using the PS3 comms so you can hear and chat to the selected team that your with. My self and WarSlag are currently using MSN chat to communicate. Friday "I have been ordered" to buy a USB headset and mic to able me to use the PS3 Comms system so we are able to communicate will all in game.
I have read that they are bringing out a patch within the next month to enable you to block and mute players which will be handy as you do get the fair few kids on there singing and screaming.

im prob going to get cod4 tomorow,
will try and get a memory stick for that patch aswell, the patch on pes6 was AWESOME, does this one change the chants aswell or anything like that?
I dont mind either way for comms, but it would seem sensible for everyone to have the same! Either way im easy, apparently!
I will add everyone soon, if anyone else has ps3 online please leave your addy so we can all add you!
Cheers

The PES08 download is only the option file and not a patch. It changes player and teams names and also updates from the January 2008 transfer window there are some other changes but you'll have to read through the link I gave you. The music was supposed to have changed but I dont think they can do that.
I would like to talk through Teamspeak although the PS3 in game talk should be okay but I think it varies from game to game. We will have to see how we go. Teamspeak might be installable on the PS3 at some point.
COD4 is pretty much all I play and it is brilliant.
Cheers, Slaggy. |

I would use TS, but truthfully as you all know I am no longer a member here at RES due to the fact that the PC and its games at the moment don't interest me. If you chaps want to use TS here on RES then that sounds good to me. But paying the membership fee just to to use TS here doesn't justify its self for me at the mo. But that is down to Mrix to decide if I use it or not. If the community here for PS3 gaming grows over the months I would gladly be willing to re-join and commit to RES once again.
Cheers

Yeh i have it on PC and i agree it's awesome, but can't really justify another 40quid to have it on console as well. I have Pro Evo so any games on that will be good.
I kind of miss getting owned on Company of Heroes OOooops
What you playing on PS3? |

My PC keeps breaking and I am gettin fed up so I have been using my PS3 more and more
I am playing...
PES08 - never played online is there a league for peeps with 4 thumbs?
Heavenly Sword - some excellent levels and some crap
Assassins Creed - Very good game - reminds me a lot of Tenchu but is very repetitive after a while
Tiger 08 I am sure the controls are upside down no matter which way I hold the joystick
Burnout Paradise - My 6yr old mastered it so I wont go near it for fear of being laughed at!
Ratchet and Clank - Very good childrens game graphics are excellent
Lookin forward to playin RSV2 on Friday with a m8 as its meant to be better in coop mode. |

Update on PS3 games - i dont have these a m8 has them
Gran Turismo is excellent - brilliant laugh racing online came 5th and then 3rd with me mitsu. Some of the A races and bloody difficult and very unforgiving but London race is excellent.
Anyone dled the PS3 Store game 'Pain' - it is great fun firing yourself over a map in a catapult getting scores for how you hit things full of naughty jokes and double entendres etc.. and you can dl a skin for it for 69p called Muffy and she sure is!!
Rainbow 6 Vegas the new one is ok but playing SP you lose out on the fun as your team do most of the killing/breaches etc.. not really that special tbh.
Beowolf is absolute crap stay away from it
Motosport Dirt thingy me giggy is excellent fun and very playable
Demos - FIFA Euro 2008 - Crap, Tekken online - wicked grown men fighting with scantily clad girl characters whose special moves are based on getting their legs as high as possible - most entertaining - except for Muffy in Pain this is the closest to real porn |

GT On-line is Excellent. I think most people are forgetting this is just a demo of the full game later to come out. God knows what the full game is going to be like.
A game which I haven`t put down since Saturday is Everybodies Golf World Tour. Has been release in Japan for at least a yr now, but at last us poor Ukers get to play it - Fantastic!..no wonder it was the biggest selling game in Japan. With its Arcade game play, cartoon graphics and endless unlocks and on-line games, also the on-line community rooms are very well designed and have a very funny edge to it.
Not long till Battlefield Bad Company and GTA

gt5 is great, burnout is ok.
resistance is a great shooter,
but if you ask me the best ps3 games are:
single player: uncharted. condmned 2 and ninja gaiden sigma.
online: WARHAWK. its like battlefield only with pimp ass planes that you control using tilt with a mode that is fllight only |
