my bf2 is anoying me. i double click it to start it up and it starts but then it just disapears. i try open it again but nothing. it use to work perfectly but even when i moved it to my new comp but now its just stuffed up (my new one is vista and ive done the compatabilaty thing). wat can i do?  |

have u tried running the install as a admin and running the game as a admin and passing punkbuster as admin
i dont use vista maybe one of the other ppl can shed some light on it

Right son,
Right click on the BF2 icon, select Properties, select Compability tab.
Under Privilege Level, tick the box beside 'Run this progam as Administrator'
All i can think of is that your resolution may be causing a problem.
Go into Documents folder, Battlefield 2 folder, Default folder, then open video.con- use notepad to open it.
One of the lines of coding should say this:
VideoSettings.setResolution
add 1024x768@60Hz to it, so it'll look this this:
VideoSettings.setResolution 1024x768@60Hz
that'll fix any resolution type problems.
Patched BF2 to 1.41 yet? |

ya you might need to patch the game again. That might be your problem.
