Jumpgate Evolution

Anyone know much about this? I saw a bit about it in PCzone and it's meant to be a bit like freespace 2 meets X3 meets Eve MMO style!

Went to one of the games press releases few months back and got to play the first few levels about 30 mins of game play. Seems ok but it seemed very fast arcady paced especially compared to games like eve. This will appeal to some and not to others.

Best described i think it will be fun to pick up and play but struggled to see any longevity in it. Will have to wait and see what more progreses from it.

Visuals and sound were impressive.

Surprisingly there were a lot of eve fans at the release including some eve radio guys they seemed a little geeky but ok i suppose. There opinions seemed very mixed and even though the devloper kept banging on about mining and trade and stuff being introduced i found a few other who thought it be a pick and have a blast type game.

But with monthly fees that may not be likely.
