Ahh so you haven't tried VS mode yet Kop? would be hilarious with 8 res guys hehe
Gotta love the source engine, can run everything maxed 16 x Cs AA etc with no hiccups at all  |

It doesnt deserve the neglect its getting but i would rather play with res than randoms so we deffo need to get together. 8 of us would be awesome but 4 would be cool. |

Conversely I have played it to death with a few mates. I have no problem host in 8 player vs server (though only 2 campaigns are actually vs). Nothing more satisfying than shotgun the face of your comrade just as the helicopter lands. Leaving him as bait for the horde as you dash for your life. |

I read in one review that if someone playing had to afk, that the computer takes over that char in that time.
Can anyone confirm that, and that once you return you can rejoin as that char.
Reason I ask is that I'm constantly having to leave the computer for a few minutes to settle baby, and that causes probs in W@W Zombie as you have to find a corner and hope not to die.
I've not got the game right now, but very interested in it |

i think that is the case if you go into spectator mode but wouldnt swear to it
best things for me are firstly the sense of real teamwork and secondly.... no cheats/hackers to worry about (i think  )
i did have a BAD problem with the so called "sound loop" bug but i reverted to an old (178.24 ?) Nvidia driver and it completely sorted it
cant really get my head round playing as infected but havent given it enough of a chance yet
