on the other hand smaller inf only servers do well too. BTK is one i know,64 player map size but only 28 players,karkand only,fairly strict rules. and thats always full. there are a lot of single map servers and infantry only servers which also do really well. personally i prefer infantry battles. but then i'm hopeless in a jet and not too good in a chopper either. Crying or Very sad

Tonight was a good night for BF2

About 14/18 people were on when I left so it's still popular but it just needs the right people to start it

At the moment world wide looking through game monitor there are around 250 servers world wide that have around 20+ players on.. I guess we are always going to find busy server if you look.
Ours server tonight with the help of just vint myself, nymph and SAS managed to get around 15 to 20 players on... so it doesnt take much really if a few put the effort in Wink

Think some of papas points were quite valid espeially the two rounds per map setup.

Clan / community servers normally run differently.
Many players here like to play both sides of a map, and many look forward to certain maps in rotation so when they get to their favourite map, what will they think Confused

. if there is only have one round etc. I think we would get far more moans if we changed it.
Many servers out there run certain game types only so they have a niche.
As I say that could not work for a clan or gaming community.
Keep the thoughts coming though!

Well I have quite a good idea that could be put to great use

The TV-Norway servers often use Auto-switch which mixes up the teams after every round

I think this could go down well with the voip now intact so then people can team up with different people each round. Yeah some people will stay on the same team but others will be switched but Mrix it's compleatly your decision m8

i joined our server last night at around 10.30, there were around 15-20 players on. so not bad. your right mriix about the specialised servers. they have a sertian following who use them all the while as they prefer that kind of game. you cant really win with the maps etc. what i noticed last night on dalian that when you play a map like that you get all the jet and chopper whores joining. and the average players get sick of being bombed they gradually leave. however, when it switches to something like karkand all the jet and chopper whores leave. so you cant seem to win.

I will try again 2nite at bout half 6 but if no one shows up then I just go on Arma or COD4
