My current system
I'm at work so dont have my notes with me, but i've a Gforce 8600 520mb gfx card, Vista 32bit and 2gb Ram & Intel Duel processor ( dunno which one ).
Can play Fallout3 / WaW / Conan on Mid settings but havent even tried Crysis or Far Cry.
Just wondered if this could run GTA or should I scrub it from my Chrissy list?

Hey all i wanted to say my take on GTA im about 60% into the game and ive been playing flat out for over a week. Tbh in terms of single player id have to say this is the best game i've ever played if i ignore nostalga from my n64 Zelda playing days. when accounting for the graphics the storyline the size and beauty of the city every little detail is in this game.
Most games i can finish with a good 6-10 hours of play with most stuff found/unlocked no chance on this game lols theres just to much to do and thats not including mutliplayer fun and just having fun generally arround the city doing whatever you want.
i got a couple of screens below one at night and one at day i took one in the rain to show how amazing the textures are on high settings easily comparable to games like cod and when you think of the maps size you kinda think how the **** did they manage it no wonder the game is 16 gig.
All it would take to push the game from incredible to perfect for me is with them adding AA to the game which is something thats poss in the works to smoothen all the edges up that would IMO make it the best looking game ever in terms of realism. My game runs smooth at about 40ish fps it doesnt go lower than that unless im in some huge traffik jam at the same time as it raining but its still fine.

Have you got Fallout 3 mook? Can anyone offer an opinion as to whether GTA4 is better than Fallout3 for single player action from actually playing both games? |
