Anyone new to bf2 will find this game amazing really
To fly jets, choppers around is quite unique in online gaming on this scale.
As for tips I`ll leave that to the die hard BF2 brigade to comment

I cant offer u a tip but I can give u a lesson or 2 lol!!!
Its best when played on ts people will be able to talk you through it mate, im sure Wenchy will sort you out lol |

I started as medic - racks up the points quite quickly so you can get the upgardes

lol Rem the only things you need to do to get high scores in BF2 are...
Get good with planes / choppers or anything armored, then proceed to whore them all day, camp spawns with tanks or APC's and get free kills.
If you're not the armored type or can't beat the other whores to the armor and prefer to play with an ounce of class, for example on foot.
You can proceed to play as a medic like 90% of the BF2 population, then proceed to spam your prone key before shooting anyone for instant success, while doing that make sure to run around like a headless chicken with your stat paddles out trying to revive everyone for even more easy points.
If all else fails, snap the disc in half and play hardcore COD4 / COD5 or anything that doesn't require a nearly a whole clip to kill someone.
In all seriousness Rem, BF2 was a great game, and to some extent still is, the squad play and air combat is great fun, but the arcadey feel just doesn't cut it anymore. |

I can agree with a fair bit of your post but arcadey, I dont think it is in my view, flying those aircraft over the big landscapes with graphics all on high look awesome and I still havnt seen anything to touch that to date in my personal view.

I chose Sniper as my starter kit and have never looked back
Still a rookie in the attack helicopters but i'm gradually getting better
As for tanks though if im in one you better stay away from me for shooting down heli's is my game

some of these things are true, but i think its still a great game. as cyrus also said the squad play and teamwork is great. no other game of this sort has come close for the squadplay and teamwork. also i still prefer the spawning on bf2, if someone is spawn camping then you can choose to spawn somewhere else or even better spawn on your squad leader.
you'll like it,it has its faults as all games do,but give it a go.
best tip is get in a squad with a res member or 2 or if not then whoever is scoring highest and learn from them.
ps. medic or sniper are your best bet,unless your names nymph then its the anti tank!! |

Damn you guys so missed out by not playing Planetside back in it's heyday.
Ground vehicles, air vehicles (including a 10 man drop ship), support vehicles, robotic suits, battle frames, 10 man squads, 30 man platoons, tactics and teamwork aplenty....... those were the days  |
