World at War Map Pack
New conflicts are on the horizon for Call of Duty: World at War! We're pleased to introduce the contents of our first
Downloadable Content (DLC) Map Pack for World at War, which includes three new Multiplayer levels, as well as an additional level for the ever-popular bonus Co-Op mode, Nazi Zombies!
Nightfire
In "Nightfire," players take to the streets of a war-ravaged Berlin with only the flames of the burning city to expose the enemy.
Station
"Station" offers a bombed out underground train station littered with hidden passageways and destroyed subway cars.
Knee Deep
"Knee Deep" takes place on the island of Peleliu in a once tranquil village turned chaotic Japanese command center.
Verrückt (Zombie Asylum)
The fan favorite 4-player co-op Nazi Zombies Bonus Mode returns with "Verrückt," a terrifying Zombie asylum featuring more weapons, perks via the addition of Perks-a-Cola machines, electroshock defenses and the endless zombie horde.
The team has been very quiet regarding details of our DLC until now, and we're so excited to let this content loose. DLC Map Pack #1 is due out in March of '09 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC platforms. Thats great news. I was disappointed about getting only the 'Makin Day' map, especially since makin is my worse map anyway, so really pleased about this news.

Hi all,
As the patch draws nearer, I wanted to post a more comprehensive list of what we’ve been working on for Patch 1.4.
3 new Multiplayer maps: Kneedeep, Nightfire, Station!
Nazi Zombies map with more weapons, Perks-a-Cola machines, and electroshock defenses: Verrückt!
Improved spawning logic.
Auto balancing improvements. Players are no longer auto balanced while completing objectives.
Mods: IWD’s can be placed in the usermaps folder.
Mods: Hold Breath / Sprint functions as intended.
Mods: MissingAssets.csv is generated when maps are run with developer set to 1.
Fixed lag caused by shooting at tanks.
All rifle grenades fired during the first 15 seconds of Search & Destroy will be duds.
Players who equip a Bouncing Betty and melee teammates in Hardcore game modes are now credited with a team kill penalty.
Players are now deducted 200 points for team killing the bomb planter/defuser in Hardcore Search & Destroy.
Martyrdom no longer causes direct impact deaths in Hardcore modes.
“Bayonet jumping” has been disabled.
Additionally, you’ll be happy to know that Map Pack 1 will be completely free for PC users, and included in the Patch 1.4 installer!
The release of this Patch & DLC is still TBD at this time. I intend to release an ETA when we have settled on one – your patience is greatly appreciated. |

seen the new maps on my buds xbox and had a run round on the station one ... very nice and well thought out but still no news on pc release , seems like they are getting their moneys worth first from the pay as you download public, mind you looking at remys post from cod hq i think they missed a few.....
1. anyone called mrix will be spawned with a new rifle ... called " the pikey fairground rifle " , this new weapon will have new and exciting features such as " bent barrel " , and a sight made of a block of wood , so no more headshots ...
2. bettys will automatically explode when placed by mace , vapourising the said operative
3. a new gilly suit called " the clown " will be issued to alonzo complete with bells on, so everyone can hear him coming and spot his bright jolly progress across the battlefield
4. finally capt reddog will be issued with a huge cannon , nuclear warheads , and 422 thick armour plate so he can actually feel safe on the battlefield |
