So i think its time we decided whether we want to keep the BF2 server..
If we do then id like to see some more members making more of an effort to start the server, for a long time now Wenchy and me have been sat on our emtpy server trying to get it going while other members are playing elsewhere, i know theres still afew members that play BF2 but ive not seen them in long time and the last |2es nights ive organised have been a poor show, i know we arent a strict clan and im not trying to make us that way but our server should be a priority.. afterall thats what we are paying subs for is to have our own server..
so do we try make our server one of the best again or give up

see i am not a bf2 player so i have to say due to the amount of people not playing on it i would have to say get rid of it however its up to the players who play and mrix weather or not they want to keep it as i dont see my subs paying it i personally see my subs paying for the cod server and ts lol
maybe thow this should not be in the public forums thow i have a feeling this should be in the private res forums

Unfortunately the BF2 server does not get enough members, that has become clear over the months 
Its a shame as its the server that started this place over 5 years ago 
As there is no interest from more members to the server its likely to be closed down when a new BF style games arrives as subs will be used to fund that.

It's a shame as that server brought us all here to |2es. I don't play often anymore, I'm very tired and after my mum passed away in July I just seem to have lost my passion for it, but when I do play I would much prefer it to be on our server, I've always prefered the |2es server over others, even before I was an admin. I miss the old days, we had a right laugh |

Times move on im affraid, ive learned the best way to keep enjoying games is just to go with the flow and play with what everyone else is playing. Ive never been a huge fan of cod 5 however i play it cause thats werere 2es is and its the fun of playing with clan members that makes a game.
Thats the problem with sticking to one game for so long is the majority will get bored no matter what game it is you can only play the same stuff so much. Besides we got modern warfare 2 and bad company 2 both looking rediculously good |

I don't currently play any game we have servers for, but I don't object to my subs helping pay for them. Thats not why I'm here anyway. The reason BF2 was so popular is that it was a 'must play' game, and I don't think (for me) any of the recent releases have had that. Keep the BF2 server until something comes along good enough to replace it. |

At the moment there isnt any game to replace the BF2, i reckon once MW2 comes out the COD WAW server will take a dive and that will go to be replaced with MW2 although with no one playing on the BF2 server is there any point in keeping it, Think this is one for mrix as leader and founder as he knows the situation with the subs etc, but if it does go what to replace it with, i think novenber will tell a tale so keep it running till then |

@ our BF2 junkies. Maybe consider OpFp2 - Dragon Rising and MW2, 2 great games on the horizon. BF2 has had it's prime time and has now become history tbh.
I think mr and mrs wench are the last 2 die hard players in |2es. Time to move on guys and embrace a new pixelated digital way to murder other humans...legally  I have no problem with subs being used to fund the server but why carry on flogging a dead horse? |

to be honest i dont really know what to say. had a game of bf2 tonight with nymph for an hr. still an enjoyable game, but no longer my favourite. i pay my subs to be a member of |2es and play whatever game everyone else is playing, so as long as i can have a game with everyone i dont mind. at the moment i dont think there's anything worth scrapping it for. but some good games on the horizon. depends on if its a choice between one or the other. if its bad company 2/mw2 or bf2 then i'd choose one of the newer ones. if we dont need to, then keep it for the members who do play it.  |

If Bad Company 2 is anything like Bad Company 1 it'll be a def buy for me, as for the BF2 server, we just don't have the people interested in it anymore.
People who bother to play with the clan seem to play Call of Duty : World At War.
As soon as Modern Warfare 2 is released things should pick up in the clan a bit more. |

well as ive said to mrix before as long as we have the BF2 server then i will do my best to support it
the problem isnt that we dont have enough members to support the server because we do, theres more members still playing than you think.. theres at least 4 that play on other servers, im assuming they are members as they still have tags on
as ive said many times before if all the members still playing bf2 played on our server then we wouldnt have a problem
also i dont think this should be a private post, we need to get public support aswell because at the moment we have no regular public players because the server isnt running often enough
but if the day comes when the bf2 server funding has to be used for a new game then i dont have a problem with that  |

this is a hard one to comment on tbh. i havent been playing for 6 months now and now im just waiting to get a pc built for febuary at the latest. once that is built i'll be back to bf2

yeh the graphics are all shiney and new but you cant beat the BF2 gameplay,what ive found with all these new games is that its too easy to get kills, i gave cod waw a try and that was the same..easy kills and ppl camping in any little corner they can find
no thanks ill stick to the old game
and im trying to get support for our BF2 server not advertise other games thanks |
