Multiplay just updated their Bad Company 2 servers to R10.

The chagelist for the servers is:
Punkbuster is required ON for ranked servers
Ranked servers cannot be started with a password
Autobalance message goes to text-chat instead of in the middle of the screen
Added weapon balance tweaks to a number of weapons

There is also a client update Very Happy

Typical guess what...... they fix all these issues and now they have a new damaging bug Twisted Evil

Basically everyone that would have added us to their favorites will now see our server as grayed out Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad
So basically if anyone wishes to join us they will have to search the normal broswer list again!!! Twisted Evil
Thats a massive amount of players we will never see again!

What are they like Twisted Evil

On a more postive note the ingame browser seem to work well and within a short period of time the server filled up at 12 and is still chocka block now Very Happy Cool
To be totally honest I have checked the Noob tube, m60 and gustoff but have found no changes?????
instead of dropping the power of some weapons have they increased the power of other weapons???
Cant say I have noticed any changes?
A couple of players in game said the pistol 91 what ever its called has been nerfed.
Will be interesting when we get a few members on later to see what changes we can notice? if any.

Seems lke the latest patch is a massive step...backwards

Real problems with the browser still and hit detection is a bit squiffy.

Apparently knifing is now a very difficult pastime... kudos to psychic Brune who forsaw this and get his knifing in early!!

May try it a bit later on tonight but i am off to cine so will miss most of the bitchin!!

Good luck to the beta testers out there who jump on in a bit :p

* Increased the range of the MP443 pistol to make it more desirable as a secondary weapon.
* Increased the damage of the MP412 over long range to balance its low rate of fire.
* Slightly reduced the rate of fire of the M1911 pistol to balance it with other pistols.
* Increased the repair and overheat speeds of the Power Tool. Now overheats sooner but repairs the same amount before overheating.
* Increased the maximum number of Motion Sensors that can be carried from 2 to 3 and increased the speed which new sensors are acquired from ammo boxes.
* Significantly increased the speed of the Tracer Dart projectile to make it more effective against airborne targets.
* Increased the reload time of the Mortar Strike and reduced the damage it does to heavily armored vehicles.
* Decreased the range of Bolt Action Sniper and Pump Shotgun Slug rounds when using Magnum Ammo for better Kit Balance, especially in Hardcore.
* Slightly increased the Health of soldiers in Hardcore for better Kit Balance.
* Increased the benefit from the Medkit Heal+ specialization to make it more desirable as a Specialization.
* Decreased the benefit from Vehicle Reload Speed to balance it against other Vehicle Specializations.
* Slightly decreased the benefit from accuracy specializations to balance the changes to range and accuracy tweaks.
* Fixed a bug where the BMD3 would take extra damage to the front armor.
* Reduced the explosive damage from Attack Helicopter cannons.
* Increased the damage of AA guns against all targets. The AA gun should be much more effective against infantry on Port Valdez.

Had a quick go earlier, dont see much difference really - 40mm still is the business for me and the AN is looking sweeet.

did not get killed by any M60's have they been noobered?

With the now R11 update its a huge step forward for a patch Cool Very Happy

Saving load outs Very Happy

4 players to start the server stops exploiting Very Happy

Certain weapon tweaks to make the game more fair Very Happy

The big + as brune explained they fixed the ingame Browser Very Happy

Amongst all the other cool tweaks..

Its mostly good apart from a few minor bugs that patches always bring Crying or Very sad

After playing last night i must admit it feels different to play (I seem to be dying more Sad ). I have noticed some massive hit detection issues, which I have never had a problem with before.

I hope they have not messed with hit box Crying or Very sad Question I don`t think so personally

I think it maybe just more likely you are needing to hit far more than before for get a kill.

Really enjoyed playing last night, glad they sorted out the server fav problem.

Got killed by various wepons but not as much by the medic class. Does this mean that mrix will have to find another class to kill us with! Wink
