Noticed a couple of instances of aimbots over the weekend. First time I have seen it with this game.
One insatnce was on our server on Friday Night, noticed by a couple of people, the other I noticed yesterday afternoon on a different server, 40 odd kills no deaths, plenty of complaining about the user cheating. Was on my side so didn't witness it at first hand.
Of course they could be very very good players capable of killing people with a single pistol shot (didn't even know that this was possible) or using a sub machine gun from a mile away.
Worth keeping an eye out. |

Lets be careful of accusing as I have seen so many accuse for no good reason 
We run the standard punkbuster and pbbans streaming.
In all the hundreds of hours I have played I have never once suspected anyone of cheating.
Not saying there will not be cheats but I feel within this game they are pretty rare.

I agree, seems rare with this game, however the aim bots always work for a period of time before being picked up. In reality not much you can do, also I do agree, you can't just acuse people of cheating, however we witnessed it on Friday night for a few rounds. Just seems odd, maybe a current aim bot is available that hasn't been picked up. |

maybe if this post is moved to the private section, then if we suspect anyone we can name them and keep an eye on them without them being publicly accused. |

its a fact of life that people hack , i used to get real bent out of shape about it , but now its not worth it ! , by the way the latest hack is being released at the moment by a guy called TX2 , most of these idiots buy the hack from these so called VIP sites , use them till they get caught by punkbuster updates or get informed by the site that punkbuster has detected the hack ,if they are caught they get a free cd key from the site they subscribe to
this has been going on since the days of quake , certain people will alaways find a way to cheat , the trick is to not let it spoil you enjoyment. |

I suppose I don't know for a fact. Just a couple of suspect players over the weekend. I have spent alot of time playing many FPS, you kind of just know if something aint quite right.
Nowt we can do about it, just worth looking out for. It can actually be amusing (for all of two minutes) witnessing an aimbot. The Friday night incident that made me think something was up was the one shot pistol kills. Having played with just using the pistol, killing mutliple people within a couple of seconds using a pistol is very hard, you only have 7 rounds.
Might be wrong, he could have been very good, however when someone accused him of cheating, he started to die, 5 mins later back to his old tricks. |

You can see some of these hack tools on You Tube. I watched a few when we were all playing W@W. They can be switched on and off at will, some allow you to bring up an ingame menu to choose which cheat to use. The best way to tell is whether or not they are able to kill head shot Harry Mrix more than once or twice in a game! 
BC2 seems to be doing a better job than a lot of games before it for keeping it to a minimum, but its inevitable. Why they do it is beyond me. |

toruble is that people trying to get high scores will resort to anything , even tweaking their drivers using the LOD mipmap , setting this very high removes most of the grass and shrubs and because this is used on your driver isnt detectable , makes the game look cack aparrently but it just shows what people will go to to cheat , sad really |
