Wow starsk, that sounds fantastic, free demo for 4 days - they must be brave to throw that out there now so close to release - they must be confident...or stupid.
I will give it a go, I hear they fixed loads of stuff from the original demo which smelt a bit like forddefects finger after a good butt rub ala solo.
Dunno if anyone else is gonna man up for it tho. |

A few of us pre-purchased the game and got into the early beta. Then we all cancelled our order because we were not that impressed with the game. I will probably give the open beta a try, see if there is anything new but I don't hold out much hope.
This is why your post met with zero enthusiasm  |

Pre-ordered, played the first beta.... been there, done that, got the T-Shirt,
Was so pleased when I managed to get a re-fund 
I have noticed various advertising strategies for this game like "buy Medal of Honor and you can have beta access for BF3", and Multiplay stating they will not have individual servers for this game but they have decided to make up a new war pack including other games....
Makes me feel they realise its already a flop and they are desperately trying to sell it anyway they can.

Funny if it was gonna be a real flop then why would you release the MP beta just before it goes on sale - surely that flys in the face of your logic?
If I had a crap game then the last thing I would do is put out a demo/ beta. |

I wouldn't say the game is crap, just 'samey'; you have a feeling you have seen it all before. It definately did not have the 'WOW! play me again feeling' |

Watched the latest trailer it looks wicked for MP and they have dumbed down the console like awards and now it looks similar to BF - you also get ribbons - no not silk pink ones for your hair defect - proper ribbons.

Ok Starsky, I have it preloaded. Being one of the main naysmiths/negative oozing guys around here I have decided to try it and make my own impression. Also I have been watching some COD:Black-ops vids (namely mp customisation and wager matches - actually both elements look cool) Also the contracts feature sounds good.

BFBC2 is still great and destructible environs are the daddy but it may be good to have another avenue to get my FPS dosage when BFBC2 is feeling a bit jaded or I am rage quitting my session because I am sucking or I am stuck with a team of f*ckwits!
So I may be willing to give one of these two a play, more likely COD though  |
