With all the poll votes, the scrim will happen tonight. It will start at 9pm(21:00) England time/ 10pm(22:00) Germany time. The gametype for this evening will be Search and Destroy. I know some may not like that, but its the best gametype to promote teamwork. Yes that is the main reason for these Scrims is to promote Teamwork and maybe do something diffrent. This means that you need to be able to communicate alot and tell team members of enemy possitions, clays, and other things that would promote victory.
This will partake on our match server. You can find it under the Unranked Server list in your browser.
Good luck and see you all tonight. |

That was some good fun tonight....My team won overall.. Played 3 maps with each team having both sides. Most likely next weekend we will have another scrim, but this time against another clan. |

It was great fun and my team was the best ... even if we have lost almost ... all played very well and good team work guys! Maybe we play again next weekend for the chance to become a Interscrim? It would be nice if all give a statement as to whether interest.
Next Saturday, same time and same place??
We are all good players and maybe someone of you interested in league (Edom), or other? |

Cat, Foxy and I have alot of experience with Edom ladders. Also I have experienced with TWL as well, but they are mostly a North American ladder whom aslo sometime offer European ladders. From what i read, They all have the same rule set. I know Edom offers two types of ladders, Basic Search and Destroy, And all gametypes ladder. So it would just be a thought about join one of these. This would give us something else to do, plus it would promote more teamwork as well.
I can say for both me and cat and foxy, that we do not strive for the number one spot on ladders, but do it for the fun of it. Even though being number 1 would be nice, I would not push for it since it may ruin some people game enjoyment.
Also added a poll asking if your interested in joining a ladder. |

i have voted no but it is purely for logistics for me
i work nights monday to friday and saturday/sunday are my only days off and i like to drink alot over the week end so i would not be a good choice for a competitive ladder.... |

mmmmmmmmm......... not sure tbh. Sounds good and could be some good fun. The clan hasn't really done any competative gaming like this since the days of BF2. We did play 1 or 2 matches in COD4MW, but the 1 game I remember didn't go too well, and a member of the other team had an uncanny ability to know where we were, which ruined the game and to my memory we haven't played another match since. In BF2 we did ok in a few matches, but we came up against some very well organised clans who obviously took it very serious indeed. I dont remember us winning any
However, a few matches for a bit of fun could be good. As long as its with decent clans who are pretty much on our level, and we keep it fairly relaxed. This was suggested by someone a while ago, but most members were not interested as the time required to practice and having to be on line on sertain days at certain times isn't really practical as most of us have families etc. If we can just do a day a week practice, and 1 match a week, and keep it nice and relaxed and fun, then maybe a few would be interested this time around.
I usually play 3 nights a week (tues, fri, sun or similar) If I can play then I will. |

We played plenty of COD4 m8, one full S&D season at least. We won a few, lost more and actually held training sessions - on a couple of maps we had it planned really smooth tbh
The only issue we had was against the "pro" team using scripts, but they got banned anyway as nobody wanted to play them.
The main problem we had was fielding a team of 6. We had 4 or 5 of us who were available each match but always were struggling for 1 or 2 last minute replacements. Slowly the interest dwindled so we pulled the plug.
I think you may have played in a few friendly scrims later in the day Rogue.
Good luck with your BO attempt Trust me you may enter into a league in a non competitive spirit but this soon changes when you lose a few matches and you become determined to win the next - guaranteed adrenaline kick though |

Cider tends to wipe the memory a little. I can only remember the 1 match, and we lost that one, prob the one your talking about. I remember a few of BF2 matches.
This could be a good bit of fun, but as Brune says, we'll need around 6 definates, then 1 or 2 who can come on if needed.
For me it's down to the times, a lot of matches tend to happen around the 8pm mark or earlier. 9pm at least is ideal for me. A good tactic maybe to get the late seasoned late nighters signed up for this, and arrange the matches for 1am! They'll be knackered and we'll be just getting warmed up
Maybe 1 training night a week (poss tues or thurs????? and 1 match fri, sat ,or sun). Dont think people will be up for putting in more time than that, but may be wrong. |

Yes i understand both of your concerns. Like i said above, this wont be to strive to win first place, but just to have some fun and do something different. Depending which ladder we play will have a diffrent set up. I know on TWL, the challenges work as taking spots. Meaning you start in last spot, and if you want to move up you need to challenge a team that is ranked above you. You cant jump automaticly to first spot. There is a limit as too how far up that ladder you can challenge. This means that you generally play people with you same skill level. But as you move up the ladder the matches will become more difficult. On the other hand, On Edom i think its a free for all challenge. Meaning any team can challenge any team. Then based on how many games you play and the points spread earned in the match gives a certain amount of team points and those determain the rank. So you will be challenged by pro teams there alot.
In the end, i think TWL will be the best. This way we play clans our gaming lvl, and then we can decide if we want to move up and try more challenging teams, or stay in the back and just enjoy some friendly matches. Generally these matches happen about once a week. Since i know many of us have family and are always busy, the best suggestion i have about team practices would be to have them 30 min prior to the match. This way there isnt a set date that you will be required to always attend. And those that are playing in that match can get some practice in with the clan members that will also play in the match. You can then build up tactics, plans, and defends and have them fresh on your mind when the match begins.
Now about the script and config hackers...Both ladders have certain set-ups and requirements to try and hinder these things. Edom has downloadable server configs special for their matches. They also require each perticipant to have UAC3, which will take random screenshots during the gameplay. At the end of the match, these SS will be uploaded to the UAC servers and both clans can veiw these SS. One downside to this is that during the match, the program takes a SS and your game may lag for a second or two. TWL does not require this program. Instead they require that each player makes a demo by using the /record function in their console. If a team is suspected of cheating, these demos will be requested and failor to produce the demos results in a loss and susspension and eventually ban.

HC with a limited loadout/perk config is the best bet
That was another problem we had, making sure everyone was recording the match! |

Brune's right we did play quite a few COD4 MW matches - in my first one i sent a noob tube into 3 of the opposition during the prelim knife fight
that went down REALLY well i can tell you
i'd still be up for some matches tho - don't use noob tubes anymore you'll be pleased to hear |
