Map1 Dragon Valley
Round 1 |2es China(0) // FFP USMC(168)
Round 2 |2es USMC(84) // FFP China(154)
Map2 Fushe Pass
Round 3 |2es USMC(6) // FFP China(141)
Round 4 |2es China(0) // FFP USMC(184)
great fun playing with FFP and they were willing to wait about while we jumped about TKing each other while we formed our dastardly plans.
Round2 we held the advantage for alot longer and keep within 5-10 tickets of them for a good portion of the game untill they capped Hill then we were sunk
good play by all
thanks for organising match Drewcat and thx for Sorting tactics Maverick

Teamwork was good, teamspeak was good. I thought we fought well but once again we fell down on tactics. 5 minutes chat before a match is not a proper way to prepare if we want to win. Personally I couldnt give a monkeys chuff if we win so long as we
a) have a good time
b) we fight hard
c) see a)
Had a great time tonight team, thanks to Java for keeping me straight. Good comms and good direction m8 |

i personally think we did quite well against a serious match playing clan
it was alot of fun and did show we are not that far removed from being a top clan ourselves
as said communication was good(i must admit i didnt have tso on and was getting confused by mavs and rpu voice and got bit confused at times sitting and wondring where i should be going sorry guys)
anyways keep rolling them in drew
i much prefer it wen points arnt an issue |

Yeah good play by all, and very good coms... I think the plans we agreed on were sound and would (could) have worked except we didnt execute them perfectly... but with practice and training and a few more matches under our belts we could have pulled it off...
But all in all, considering we were playing a clan experienced in Clan v Clan, we didnt do too bad...
Quick run through of my thoughts...
Round 1: Dragon Valley (|2es China) :
Started badly and we lost our main base almost immediately (hence lost all our vehicles, most importantly our Chopper) no way could we win after that guys, they just had us pinned...
Round 2: Dragon Valley (|2es USMC) :
Our best round... We had a good defensive position, holding woodyard and hill village... with 2 AA positions and Java in the chopper thier helo couldnt do much, and we were holding our own points wise. Then the hill village was lost and we couldnt get it back. But still there were signs that we could compete with them.
Round 3 and 4: FueShe Pass:
We came up short on these two rounds... FFP had good team work and caused us no end of problems...
I was impressed with the way their tank and APC supported one another. They were very difficult to kill, which makes me suspect that the two drivers were engineers, and with the 2 vehicles close to each other all the time they were constantly healing each other without having to get out of their armour. (A great tactic imo and one we should at least try out if not adopt full time)
As I have said we are learning all the time, and with a few more matches like this we will be much more prepared about what to expect.

I would like to say thanks to all for turning up and for a great game.
Good communication by all (i actually used TS for once and not just listened) and your write up Mav sums it up nicely.
As said its all about Fun and FFP seemed like they understood that to (Didnt take it all to seriously) hopefully we will play them again.
Agree it is much better when points arnt a issue.
I think if we had a tactic review prior to the next game it would be a great help as its obvious the other clans will be doing the same.
Anyhow there are many more games in the pipeline. (got 3 challanges waiting clarification) so the fun will continue.
Once again thanks to all for making it a great game. |
