Best air cooled would be from the following list (1.5mb cards) -

EVGA - - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1536mb-evga-gtx-580-ds-sc-40nm-4050mhz-gddr5-gpu-797mhz-shader-1594mhz-512-cores-dvi-mhdmiplusfree-b

MSI - - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1536mb-msi-gtx-580-twin-frozr-ii-oc-40nm-4096mhz-gddr5-gpu-800mhz-shader-1544mhz-512-cores-plusfree-

Asus - - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/15gb-asus-rog-gtx-580-matrix-4008mhz-gddr5-gpu-816mhz-shader-1632mhz-512-cores-hdmi-dp-dl-dvi-plusfr

Gainward - - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1536mb-gainward-gtx-580-phantom-40nm-4020mhz-gddr5-gpu-783mhz-shader-1566mhz-512-cores-dp-hdmi-plusf

And just for a laugh - - http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-asus-gtx-580-mars-ii-limited-edition-x2-40nm-4008mhz-gddr5-gpu-782mhz-2x512-cores-dl-dvi-dp-hdmi

If you want a quiet card then id say a watercooled solution would be the better option aswell as the perk of lower temps and more headroom for overclocking.Having said that some of the aircooled cards have been reaching insane overclocked speeds.

See what you've done now Bulldog.
Good card though Mrix, although I think I would've opted for the Asus, gets a great review here -

I didn't get to post in time before you ordered. There's not a lot in them though, and it's really just splitting hairs.

Monkey, I'd say theirs some sort of problem their mate, it shouldn't be getting that hot. Are you using benchmarking tools to put it under 100% load, as most games wont even make that card break a sweat? Under normal gaming conditions it should be fine. What case do you have?

Rouge, I have a cosmos 1000, so a decent case. If I use MSI Afterburner with Kombustor, then it doesnt seem bad, runs at 98% load and doesnt go above 75c. However, If I play say bc2, it has a greater impact, although might have something to do with going near 200fps. Same was happening in black ops last night. I bought it from scan, so might raise an RMA and see what they say.
