Kubhra / Wake / Neither???

Pretty self-explanatory really. I think the majority of us dislike wake, and most of us havent played khubra for quite some time.

May I also add that 8v8 Khubra was awesome a couple of weeks back and I will like to do that again!

kubra kills servers plainly
we've tried it previously and found that when it comes on the player numbers seriously drop and that it kills the server if the map is on late-night.

as for wake, its a popular map and people like playing it so meh Razz

operation cleansweep is the same as kubra dam btw before you ask

why not put it to a player vote then if the server does go poo after a week change it back. Cant be no harm in trying can it

we can try it I suppose, but most of these votes dont show the actual popularity of a certain decision since only the people who actually care put down their opinion and those that like the way things are dont respond.

if I see a list of 10 |2es members put down they want kubra then we'l run it for a few nights after one of the popular maps

if anyone who is interested in kubra can please put a reply on this thread so we can get a head count please, thx

This map has been really bad for player numbers at the start of BF2 but yes if we do see some interest then why not give it a shot Wink

lets just play all the maps see how it goes im getting a bit bored of these maps now ,we need a change !other players on the server are asking about the missing maps ,i say stick them in wat harm can it do? i dont think people will leave due to the fact that the res server is so popular.

put them all on the rotation for me it doesnt matter.

I agree server is always full at moment so give it a try

I personally would like all the maps to be on the server.

Also I feel we could do with a break from our server map rotation, esp with all the crashes. I think we should have a map between Karkand and Sharkie, I can't stand two city maps together.

Perhaps we could also move dalian plant to somewhere later on in the rotation

Bit off-topic, but... I would love to have the auto team switcher ma-joobrary installed. Some maps are so biased it's untrue (wake anyone?). It also means that each round will be (slightly) more different, not just a rinse-repeat. Who cares if it messes with the squad set ups, it's not exactly hard to press 'insert' on your keyboard......

Myself and java looked at map rotations and visitor number for months to give us the popluar server we have today, please dont think we just picked the maps out of a bag etc Very Happy

. We must remember our server is still very popluar more so than ever really. We did remove certain maps this is true which helped towards keeping the server running longer if less numbers were on.
We have tried many maps on start up and even though some of you are a bit sick of Dalian Plant with the crashing issue it is still the best map to gain visitor numbers quickly Wink

we have tried a few times with other maps with not much success.
Making changes can be very damaging but saying that we can try a few subtle idea`s if members need a change Wink

It would be nice if we could get more members posting their views on this matter

I agree with you Mrix Dalian Plant is one of the best maps for getting the server started.

When i go on there,most people come on just to practice flying with out getting owned.

The auto team switch,i know we tried it before but would like to see if we could get that

back up and running,i dont think as many people would leave when switching to maps

like Wake Island,waiting for the U.S to take a flag can be really boring unless you can

get a chopper or plane.I think the fault is with E A when they dumbed down the

blackhawk, maps like Wake Island and Clean Sweep just became unpopular,with a 64

player map you've got 2 guy's in the attack chopper and 2 more guy's in the planes

leaving 28 people stuck on the carrier because getting in that blackhawk now is certain

death..Well that's my 2 penny worth

I mean the last time I took Wake Island out of the rotation I had complaints that it had been Sad

personally I cant stand the map Wink

Wake Island is the worst map in the rotation esp. if US don't cap a flag very fast.

I hate wake lalala, i hate wake lalala, unless i am in a chopper, then i get war-slag to fill up blackhawks for me all round and i just TV missile them and get a nice shiny medal!! However if i dont get a chopper i just go joy riding in a jeep, seein how far i can push the thing, rolling it jumping over obstacles!! If i dont get a jeep me and jasse just sit down and have a picnic at the airfield just about moving enough not to get kicked! LOL!

I think in the spirit of fairness to some people it would be nice to have kubra damn in the rotation on trial to see how it goes, and take like Zatar or summat else big out. As for wake i know what mrix means, it is a globally popular map for some weird reason, i would ditch it, but i know we would get complaints!

Please no Operation bla bla, it is awful!! Any map where you rely on the competance of the other team to be able to cross water is bad!! same with Dalian if you get all the flags, and Gulf etc
