Don't be stupid Berti, it's not a mod....
A mod is a buggy extension to an existing (often) bug ridden game - produced by developers who don't give a shit about the end users and who cant be bothered to get the original right or think of something more innovative.
oh right - err, yeah |

lol bertii! actually having played it a little more this last few nights it is a completely different game, just some of the physics and general controls are similar. Plus it is a lot harder than battlefield to start off with, the rifles sway when you aim with them etc
It will take a lot of getting used to, and the game focusses a lot more on flag capture and flag defense, as that is the only way to score heavily, similarly with the titan, you double the points earning on the titans, with kills and titan attack/defence points.
Those who just wonder around aimlessly in a tank will not do so well! Plus the points system where you get bonuses for pins seems a clever way of instigating a more careful approach to death in game.
Think there are quite a few glaring differences between the games, apart from them using the same engine, there is a different philosophy behind the gameplay in 2142. For me i still prefer the simplicity and realism of BF2, but 2142 is a good game in its own right and i will play it, i think it has successfully nudged CoD2 out of the equation for me (since i suck soooooooo bad at CoD2 LOL!!!) |

Got to agree, it is a different concept, one I feel will make it a more team game which sould fit right up our street.
I will be playing it for defenate as its a refeshing change, well until the spawn points are known, and other loop holes come in to ruin it.
And the Pc world ad, cleaver advertising, search for BF2142 and find the cheapest, Oh out of stock, but whilst im on PC worlds web site i might see how much that memory stick im after costs. |
