Time for a Theme Change

Hello all, as the community is going multigaming it was really time for a theme change.
I realise some will like and some will dislike but thats preferences for you Very Happy

and having a change after so long is always going to seem odd what ever we change too etc.
also this theme fits with the other forums

No problem with the theme, but you have kept the same out of date intro on the home page. It is in serious need of an update! Very Happy

Also, the menu on the left hand side. it's hard to distinguish the section titles now, they all blend into each other.

Hey mate, very good job! I think we all new it maybe was time to freshen things up a bit, and i think it was wise to keep the theme across all our websites similar, so people can identify us as |2es!

I think the text at the front is perfect, and a good length, and then there is the About Us page if they want a bit more detail.

I have a couple of suggestions, that kinda go on from what some people have said. FIrstly the menu down the left hand side, they are always tricky to get right, and i think Cyrus was right when he said it is a bit hard to navigate. I would suggest that on the sub headings to keep the css gradient, which carries the steely look which is present throughout the site. However on all the links i would simplify. There is not enough contrast between the white of the text and the silver/white background effect you have on the links. Instead of this i would allow the text to have no background, and just give the links a bottom border to separate them up. Maybe you could try a yellow dotted bottom border to fit in with the "danger tape" theme. Even if this doesnt work i would try a few things coz it does need work.

Another thing is the top title bar, which i think has some really good qualities, but the text again is not very clear. The font blends in with the images at either side, and i think it would be better placed having Resurrection Multigaming Clan in the middle.

Dont know what others think of these suggestions?

But these exstremely minor points aside you have done a top job mate, and i think you should be congratulated!

Might try email some screenies of what i am suggesting mate, coz it aint easy to explain in text!

Is it possible to write plugins for this site? If so, what language / format do they need to be in?

I know nothing about web publishing, I am a programmer though, I can write pretty well in .NET, never in Java (bout time I learned). If poss I would like to write a plugin or something to help with match availability / scores, but wouldnt know where to start!! Any ideas / help would be much appreciated!

Its not just making the plugin its making a secure one and most 3rd part plugins have security holes that get us hacked unfortunately.

ah ok :S well, as I said, I know nothing about these things, but Id be keen to learn if someone told me what direction to go in.

I was thinking about writing a Matcherizer thinnamyjig, that just said the upcoming matches, logged scores and would allow players to register availability. As I said, if it were a windows program, I could write it no probs. For web, I dont have a clue!
