Hey mate i have done some looking around and i think the best i can say is that it will be using Shader Model 3.0, so you will probably need a card that can support this, but im not sure! I think most games out at the moment use shader model 2.0.

I will keep looking though!

Well i reck from a quick bit of research that you will need a fairly modern gfx card, like 7900GT upwards, but that is only guess, and it may not be the case, i would wait until it gives you the min requirements! If you know the model of your card im sure it will tell you on the web whether it supports it!

Like i said its pretty much a matter of just waiting a week and finding out, its all just speculation at the moment probably!

Good Man.

Shader 3.0
Dirext x 10
Who knows What else.

Santa is going to have a BIG list of upgrades I need.

I can Play BF2 all On medium, without a single glitch.
All on high and now and again it glitches, and the playability isnt as good.

Only got a poor mans card, Overclocked, looks like will have to wait to see what it says on the tin.

[Only got a poor mans card, Overclocked] If i tried to overclock my PC TheWicker would come round and shoot me as he built it and i keep saying im gonna overclock it, to which he swears an curses at me...lol.
I can see his point as i would blow summit up, I have only used the Ati Catalist dodaar to boost the card.[/quote]

Yeah overclocking is an art and one that should be approached with caution, tbh i never really do it, although i have parts that are built to be overclocked i would not risk it until i have water/fluid cooling, which will never happen i dont think! If i do overclock i just do it to benchmark and see how fast my system can go!

In a way im glad that Rainbow Six should finally stretch my system on full graphics, will be fun to see some of the next gen features!

I've had a flick through the rainbow 6 forums and from what i can make out this game is getting alot of stick. Mainly due to the fact the reason there are no PC specs out is because it's a direct port from the X Box 360 version. which is a little dissapointing.

Whilst they're heading for the multiplay element - they're focusing on the console multiplayer not the PC. Hard to get the full story cause you only heard the bitching but it seems like this aint all it's cracked up to be - even more worrying is.... still no sign of a demo!!

Over Clocking scared me to at first, but its a piece of cake.

One Program, Select Over clock, Auto Find Best adjustment and Walla 10% increase, all safe and stable. Did also Up it a bit from what it settled at still with No problems.

Give it a try, you can always turn it back down, just remember where it all was set.

Yeah unless you go mad crazy and try too big increments then overclocking is fairly safe! Just i cant be arsed yet, and my system is more than capable atm. When it gets a bit dated i will no doubt crank up my unlocked multiplyer!

As for RsV i think the forums are shit on that site, i have tried to read them but they are full of idiots! They are all jumped up w****kers who think they know everything, so tbh i am waiting on giving it a go myself. It has all the elements of a great game and i have read some reviews that say it has unbelievably realistic gameplay so lets just pray it is ok!

Was there a certain program you used or do you have to go into the bios.

It was a Nvidia Program, dont think I went into Bios as only overclocked my G Card.

Im sure there Wil be an ATI Overclock tool which will make it all a doddle.

If you have an 1900XT duffer - go to ati.com and download catalyst control centre 6.?? whatever they're on now and that control centre will allow you to set EVERYTHING witht eh graphics card, from voer clocking, to anti aliasing, to refresh rates the lot.
