Everything runs through your mboard, so you need a very very good one to get the most out of the rest of your kit mate. Im not up on what is best at the mo, ill try hava look if i get time. You want one with the 2x16 PCI lanes to get the most out of your Quad SLi, and i would expect to be paying £130+ dunno for sure tho!
I would guess it will be an Asus or DFI board which currently is best though, but cant tell you for sure without reading up on it and dont have time at work!

Hi mate,
think i may have said this on team speak.
the best motherboard you can get on 775 -975X is......
Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
Way more stuff on it that you can shake a stick at. Hardware websites rave about it. They do all their overclocking on them. My brother in law (the B'stard) has it with a E6600. It has 3 types of raid for god sake.
or
Abit AW9D-MAX Intel 975X (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard. This board looks great but read anything about it.
Warrent.
PS Any questions just ask on team speak mate, as i am a hardware geek |
