Did u get ur net upgraded? i had mine upgraded from 2mb and my line couldn't handle it, i was constantly losing packets and getting kicked off with punkbuster errors etc, so i ended up having to go back down to 2mb Evil or Very Mad

I have had nothing but problems with BT over the last 6 months since they upgrded my line,
I would agree this is the cause but after the 5th time of being kicked for lost packets i went on BF2 and played no problems......
I do understand what you mean though i need to go back to my 2mb connection but for some reason they are really reluctant to change me back?
Are you still using the Home Hub as your modem for your 2mb or have you gone back to a normal modem?
I have had 4 engineers out and none of them can sort it......and its not like i can go elsewhere becasue i would have the same problems with them.
Just waiting for some kind of refund on my monthly costs.
Ahhhhhh the joys of Broadband....
Anyone trying to be upgrade by BT 'Stop!'
Think about it , Broadband Max doesnt work it doesnt give you maximum speed it just gives you a default connection of 500kb per sec if it sences a fault and believe me there are faults all the time.
Any way Soapbox away ...thanks again i`ll keep on trying.
Wink

I'm with UKonline, when i had probs i told them i'd leave if they didn't change me back so... safe to say that did it without much fuss, plus they chopped 10 quid a month off my bill lol Very Happy

I had this, it was a firewall problem. When it says losing packets, followed by that code, the code starts with either (A) or (B). That indicates which PB program is having the problem, either pnkbstrA.exe or pnkbstrB.exe. Make sure both of these programs are allowed bidirectional access through your firewall

For anyone who has the same Problem,
click Start
Run
services.msc
Start Punkbuster A
Start Punkbuster B
and have them both on automatic
that seemed to sort it.

Cheers fella`s

I have been gettingmassive lag spikes and the odd disconnect and after reading this i looked in services and while punkbuster A is running, punkbuster B isnt even on the list, downloaded and manually updated Punkbuster for 2142 and its still not there and still having the problem.

Any suggestions?
