Good luck |

Hey doods,
thanks for the votes, I appreciate it
No he didnt do the vid, its a standard one for the competition. This guys smart, he didnt even want to enter it to the competition as in his own words he said "I didnt really put much effort in and it could be better..." Funnily enough, his "not much effort" still got him to the final! Well we'll see how he does, theres a couple of other tracks on there that are pretty good, but either way its a good start!...
As for me, well I started a job in nov 2006 which now takes all my time :*( I commute every day from manchester to liverpool (cue violin) which means I leave home at 7pm get home at 7pm. On top of that, I've been doing up my house (which Im happy to say is pretty much done!) and finishing my phd thesis (which im happy to say is completely done! 380 pages, ouch) so its been a tough 6 months or so. In fact, ive just been off ill for 2 weeks as a testament to how I don't know how to rest :S However, all that is behind me, but my poor wife is totally fed up with me being busy 24/7 so I might have to pay her some attention from now on!...
That being said, I bought a new computer (ha! you cant stop me!) although I did comprimise by not spending £800 on SLI-8800GTX's and not forking out 500 quid on deep-freeze cooling , so I hope to be on more often from now on. As for IRC, well we have a totally locked down internet at work so that's out of the question, plus all my work is audited so I cant be slacking for 50% of the day any more.
Bah! real life xD.
Good to talk to you chaps though, and seeya around!

Dude,
Well done to your nephew what a great effort. 380p is an awesome job you must be glad to see the back of it. Seems like you have achieved lots and fully deserve to waste a bit of time playing online football and golf . You mustnt neglect your better half or you will end up like OOPS who is being divorced by his golf widow . Dont worry about commuting your life away, eventually you will be so badly monged that you wont even notice.
I am going buy an Alienware PC later this year and am looking forward to it. I dont worry too much about what PC I've got as long as its awesome and there is plenty of support I will be happy. I once had a problem with my speakers and spent an afternoon on the phone to PCWorld before realising I needed to turn them on but hey ho. Now my sub-woofer isnt working but I dont use it so im not going to figure it out.
Look forward to gaming with you.
Warslag. |

Hi mate glad to see the job is going so well.
I commute the same as you just in the opposite direction.
Mine starts from Liverpool at 6am and returns at 6pm. Trust me after 14 years of it you get use to it.
You also get use to the lack pf sleep so you can have a social life.
Hopefully I will get back on line soon. Struggling to find time at the mo, but with my stats not being updated cant really be mithered.
cya soon matey. |

LOL I am feeling pretty monged right now actually (am at work). Yeah 48 hours a month in a car, its like an entire working week, each month, in a car! ... Im getting used to it. Bear in mind Ive just finishd 7 years of university where for the last 3 years I could pretty much slack off for 2 months and no-one would notice
Still, if I lived 100 years ago, Id most likely be a farmer, or someone's servant, so I can't really complain eh?!
And warslag, I was reading your post and was about to go "No dont buy a computer, build your own!!" then I read the bit about the speaker and thought "yeah prolly better you buy one eh " Make sure you get 4GB RAM though, vista thrashes the hard disc 24/7 on 2GB.
Yes the w00tbox needs a proper test drive. I was on at the weekend for about an hour - I now load a good 10 seconds before anyone else in the map!!! hurrah! the chopper is mine!!! - but had some strange vista errors that I've got to sort out... :S
Also I cant get the thing to work in widescreen? Yes I did the -sxy -sxx hack in the shortcut, but it didnt work? w00000t? |
