Flight Video

Ok - so i've discovered fraps and got a bit trigger happy - and haven't seen many 2142 vids - really got into this video recording and editing stuff so hopefully some better one to come.

next one i will use Adobe Premiere as this was made with a mix of virtual dub, windows movie maker and that was a bout it - plus it only took about half hour to piece together etc.

This is a video of my awesome flying (for one round anyway Smile

) and Kehumff's shooting ability which got the Air Ribbon in 2142 which i think is still alot more tricky than is worth for the 30 points you get for it.

If you click download to the right and play in google Video player it's at a bit of a better resolution which was one of the problems i encountered whilst compressing an 11 gig file to 66meg Smile

but like i say - this is the first effort and didn't take to long, so hopefully i can improve on this.

Fraps is awesome. I used to waste whole weeks FRAP'sing my efforts on Halo and putting them to drum & bass.

I strongly suggest Adobe Premiere elements, as its cheap (50 quid!) doesnt require a lot of skill and produces great results. Then you can edit all the action into one continuous stream of pwwwwnage! o_O

nice work mate! fraps is a quality programme that u can spend hours messing with!

i dont play 2142 much so i dont know, is there a battlerecorder function on it? as using this with fraps can give u loads more to play with! Very Happy

when i made the |2es clan battle movie i used battlerecorder with fraps, it takes a fair bit of time but i think it is well worth it when u sit back and watch all ur hard work!

Yeah i think 2142 does have fraps - that was my next adventure.

Tbh, i really enjoyed messing about with that, and that was just a quick play, one of the difficult things is a 3minute file on fraps is 4gig - so it's compressing it down without losing all the resolution.

Thats a good vid Mate - Seems resolution is a problem all round when trying to make a video - always the comprimise between file size and screen size.

I'm gonna try and make another more action packed one once i can find a server that battle recorder redcords and lets me download it afterwards.
