The point of bf 2142 or any other game = FUN

Now, what does fun mean.

It is different for everyone, within reason ( which I will explain in a bit.)

For some , in bf2142, fun is playing as commander or jumping in a walker after a hard day and just pwn people, it could aslo mean lone wolfing to an extent not seen since Rambo.

The point is fun is subjective to opinion, therefore it is not logical for one person to moan about how another plays, unless rule breaking.

So if I want to play my way and not yours and you don't like it then tough!!!

To explain the bit about fun is different, within reason.

If you are in a clan match or training, then you must follow leader or commander orders.

If you are on a public server and in a squad obey the squad leader or risk being kicked from the squad.

BUT if I am not in your squad do not tell me what to do, EVER. (as long as it is within the rules of the server.)

If tight squad play and strict objective based play is what you are after, then lets have a clan match, but please in a public server do not try to rule everyone else just because it is not your definition of fun.

i have a funny fealing that this is pointed at me from the remark on Cerber Landing the other night,Firstly m8 yes every thing you say is very true,but here is the reason for me saying what i said to you .i was already in a head on man to man fire fight and you DECIDED you wanted to get the same guys tags from behind putting you in my line of fire causeing me to have to stop fireing incase i T/K'd you and this caused me to take fire from the guy to extent of only 1 life left.Sorry if i offended you but i was disapointed that you put me in a position that i could have been penalised for team kill and also risked me getting killed,Fair enough if thats your thing getting tags but if you decied to put a fellow clan member at risk (i would expect that kind of thing from general public)for your own gain then you cannot expect that person to just except it if you put him at risk ,because that person following the rules and does not want to risk T/K,when he has to kick ban and warn ppl for breaking the same rules you put him at risk of breaking.

Hi Foxy,

I understand and agree with what you are saying but your are making the assumption that I knew where you were.

As I am sure you are aware in a knife fight all you are looking at is the enemy, what he is doing what weapon he has how much he has just fired at you etc, so if you saw me coming and warned me you were engaged in a battle with this guy I would have left him.

When it comes to the lives of the clan, it goes without saying that I will revive save and provide cover and be the proverbial yellow brick road for the clan to walk over to reach success.

My loyalty goes beyond any miscommunication or argument.

and by the way daffy, fun is the thing you do with cobra in the dark when no-one is looking lol.

it brings a tear to my eye. I will now point everybody I know to this thread as to try and change their minds that I am in fact not a "Terry F£%kwit" (Viz 80's).

I do think that the following would be more appropriate "Now this guy has finally talked some sense" Very Happy

Please don't expect a repeat of it, well not in this lifetime.

Back to the original topic though its vital when you load up you have fun, relax, escape the real world etc. No matter what worries I have at the time as soon as I get in a game I travel to a different world. Even the watch on my wrist means nothing as time seems to escape me. This is why I believe I am a BF2 addict as addictions work that way. When you get your kick nothing else matters and you go into your own special world. Very Happy

My only worry is making sure I have paid my ISP so that I can log on again next time.

i really wish i was skilled enough to be able to move my thumb to my key so i can tell you on TS RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIRE FIGHT not to knife him because i'm in a fight with him (dam i'm dead trying to fosus not getting killed/killing the guy as i reach for the KEY lol ).
and the reason i said what i said was because i did'nt realise it was you untill he was dead and i was able then to look at the name above ya head,i was'nt looking who it was all i could see was a guy going to knife the guy i was fighting from behind and it just happened to be you,you were on TS and i was able to say somet,and as you quated m8 you are seeing what he is doing how many shots he as fired ect ect so you obviously knew he was'nt even paying attention to you (easy kills dont ya just love em hehe)
So when you think about it you were going to put a team m8 at risk for ya own gain you get 1 point for the knife ya team m8 gets -2 for the Tk GREAT Confused

No one ever pays any attention to me so it went unnoticed. I wish I was as skilled as you foxy, where knife kills are easy.

When I think about it I got 1 point and you got 0 for that kill no one got deducted.

If I took your kill, please accept my apology but this was not the reason for this post.
I felt it right to express my freedom to have free fun without comments about how I cost someone a match, point or kill, true or false.

your missing the point for me remarking the way i did (it was not personal) and replying to ya post,as i said had I not stoped fireing which then alloud you to knife the guy and get the point ,had i kept on fireing i would not only have killed the guy and gained a point but i would also have killed a team m8(which i have done in the past and deduted points and even been band from other servers for it)and went from +1 to -2 for that incident,(meaning the kill befor that was a waste of time to),which would have been a complete and utter waste of time even fighting the guy in the first place.

I think this is getting out of hand a lil bit!

having played alot of hours on BF2 and 2142 myself ive obviously been in the same position as both of you on many occasions and i know it can get heated in game,however it is just a game and these things happen and thats why the game is called battlefield! No one is right or wrong in this predicament as it can be very intense at times whilst playing and to make out which player it is can be very difficult on 2142 so c'mon lads chill out please and forget about it as it is really not worth it as you and I both know it will happen again at some point and theres no point in arguing about it!
