Well i wish everyone the best of times in the coming season, i shall be experiencing a much grittier time in the Championship with West Brom, but fingers crossed we have some promising signings, maybe not promotion this season, but putting the peices in the right place.

Ahhh, I rmember the days I lived in Dewsbury, and all the Leeds & Huddersfield fans mocked me for supporting a Division 2 Man City.

Well as you will know when I signed up, Im a massive football nut. Totally nuts on Cardiff City remember 1927 was when we won the fa cup. I have made signs at the club for the last 6/7 seasons and have been promised as much as I want on our new £35m stadium.

Last season when Ridsdale got rid of Hamman he decided he wanted to change the badge as we were the only club in the UK without our name on, instead it held our nickname. It's me who has redesigned the club badge (last Oct), the club accepted my design and we decided to wait until the close season to change the badges, otherwise a few miiliion pounds worth of stock would of been binned at a total loss.

Over the last 6 weeks I have spent every day in Ninnian Park upgrading badges, making new signs and making price increases on menu boards for bar and kiosks. I have got my usual 2 season tickets out of the deal, I usually take my lil un and myself. However, I often take a customer instead or my nephew.

Ive taken many pics over the last 6 weeks of what I have been upto and where but Im still carrying out work there and will right upto Weds when I go away for a week. On my return I will upload these pics for all to see. The best work I have done is in the Tunnel and Dressing rooms as SKY will pick up the signs. Any time you see the new badges (says Cardiff City FC) it will be me who did it, wether its at the ground or on a website. As you can tell I am extremley proud of what I do at the club and I am still living the dream of being able to go where I like at the club I have supported since I was a boy. I have built up a great relationship with staff and some players.

As for the forth coming season we have brought in quality players for our league, none more than Mr Robbie Fowler who has helped season tickets sales by +40% and we have sold 6000 new shirts in the last week. He will be adored as he was in Liverpool. Even though Rugby is still number 1 in Wales Cardiff has been a football city for the last 10 years and we are very passionate as you would of heard. We made £4.5m on Chopra and got Fowler on a free, we arn't even paying all his wages we have sponsors picking up the main bulk of it. We just missed out on promotion last year to the extent of being in the top 6 for nearly all season but we have added experience this season. Our only home friendly is tomorrow vs FC Twente and kick off next Saturday vs Stoke. I think we'll be up there come the end of the season but may feel heartbreak through the play offs. I don't feel the need for promotion as our stadium isn't ready until Christmas after next.

I'm sure you are bored enough as it is but thats the way it is for me this club is a huge part of my life both in work and away, I'm sure my regular updates throughout the season will at least interest one or two people here. £10 on Fowler to be top scorer of the league probably isn't a bad bet.

Good luck to all you football lovers out there and if any of you ever fancy coming to a game, just let me know.

Fowler is an absolutley great signing for you guys, thought our fans expected a little too much from him, which didn't help him at all.

well ive got to say this season looks like it could be one of the best ever. All the top clubs will be stronger, with spurs and liverpool mounting a proper challenge. I am totally excited by the new signings at united and cannot wait to see what they can do. plus it will be interesting to see if Ronaldo can replicate his form of last season.

exciting times lay ahead!

LT!

I dont usually follow any Prem football as I have no intrest in it however this year I'll keep an eye on most teams.

for eg, in no particular order.

Derby - Earnshaw (my fav player, I have his number on our new kit for this season, we sold him approx 4 years ago) all 4 of us in my house still carry his number. I will never forget knowing he was going to be sold and obviosuly not being able to do anything about it.

Spurs - Gareth Bale, trust me, if he's picked consistantly he will be your best player and Madrid will want him in 2 seasons time.

Wigan - Koumas, potentially one of the best midfielders in the prem !! Cotteril is there who I went to school with but I dont like him.

West Ham - Gabbidon and Collins along with that mouthy $hit Bellamy, Gabby, one of the best CB's in the prem.

Sunderland - Chopra

Man Utd - Giggs

Blackburn - Mark Hughes and Savage

Prem Winner - Man Utd
Coca Cola Championship- Wolves, Charlton, (play off winners) Cardiff
Coca Cola 1 - Forest, Swindon (so Oooops can begin to like us again), (play off winners) Swansea
Coca Cola 2 - Wrexham and if they are still there, Bristol Rovers.

You don't have West Brom to go up? come on '27 give us some credit Smile

I personally hope we don't go up... for reasons being.

1) at the moment we don't need the money
2) i think it'd be benificial for Mowberry's new side to get some time together before rushing into the big boys
3)I'd rather sit another 2 seasons in the championship, for a long stint in the premiership, than get promoted this season, and some straight back down.

With regards to Koumas, he's a brilliant player, did you like the way we had to keep fineing him until he'd come back from Cardiff, and he put in one of his best seasons for us.

It's hard not to be a little pissed off that these players want to leave now we're back in the championship, but it's fair enough i suppose, everyone wants to better themselves, and from the otherside, you don't want people playing for you that doesn't wanna be there.

The exception being Curtis Davies - he's had his transfer request turned down, we've stuck a stupidly high price on him, yet he still worked his ass off in pre season and put in some good performances - if he does that for a bit of the season i think the professionalism he's shown he deserves to move on.

Our new signings look solid, if nothing else and after a while we should have a really strong side! See you at west brom vs cardiff? Wink

The previous couple of seasons had really withered my enthuiasm for the game

But just got my Man City-Derby tickets. This pre-season with MCFC has made me the most excited I've been since our double promotion in the late 90s.

Are you not ever so slighty concerned that you have Sven Goran-Erikkson in charge though?

He looked as confused as ever in all the photo's i've seen Very Happy
