Its Man City, confusion comes with the job
Keegan, in his appointment press conference, came out with 'I think I'm prepared, I can't go any more greyer!' |

You don't have West Brom to go up? come on '27 give us some credit
I personally hope we don't go up... for reasons being.
1) at the moment we don't need the money
2) i think it'd be benificial for Mowberry's new side to get some time together before rushing into the big boys
3)I'd rather sit another 2 seasons in the championship, for a long stint in the premiership, than get promoted this season, and some straight back down.
With regards to Koumas, he's a brilliant player, did you like the way we had to keep fineing him until he'd come back from Cardiff, and he put in one of his best seasons for us.
It's hard not to be a little pissed off that these players want to leave now we're back in the championship, but it's fair enough i suppose, everyone wants to better themselves, and from the otherside, you don't want people playing for you that doesn't wanna be there.
The exception being Curtis Davies - he's had his transfer request turned down, we've stuck a stupidly high price on him, yet he still worked his ass off in pre season and put in some good performances - if he does that for a bit of the season i think the professionalism he's shown he deserves to move on.
Our new signings look solid, if nothing else and after a while we should have a really strong side! See you at west brom vs cardiff? |
Sorry I don't see this season as a promotion sucess for WBA, main reason being he's just about replaced the whole team and new players take time to settle in. Your dead right in one respect, who are we to insist players stay at a lower level instead of taking the opportunity to better themselves. However, thats whats contracts are for. What tends to happen now is a club will hear on the grapevine how someone is intrested, the dead give away is the scouts, they dont just get in with the fans, and then the club offer the player a new contract with a nice release cause, ref: Chopra.
I didnt want promotion last season and I dont particulary want it this season. Our new stadium is ready christmas after next and when we are settled in that, then look to go up. Ive watched our club vs Halifax, Cheltnam, Torquay, Exeter with gates of 3k, we are now averaging in the 14k region so we have come a long way in 6/7 years so I can wait. I just want to do it properly amd not yoyo. Sides which things need to be sorted out behind the scences with us but that isnt a discusion for a public message board.
Koumas ran his heart out for us and anybody who does that in a Cardiff shirt becomes a hero, Chopra did it last season, the kids appriciated the goals and sang the songs but the Dads like me appriciated how he earned his wages on a Saturday. As a fan thats all you can expect.
You won't see me at the Hawthorns I'm afraid or any other away ground as the reputation we still carry isnt worth it. We have law suits against, West Mids Police, The Met, South Yorks and West Yorks. I know trouble makers and I know genuine shirt wearers and as always it the minority who cause the problem. Im happy to take my little girl to home games as I know I can protect her but as away fans we all get tarred with the same brush. |

Looks like i'll pop along to Cardiff then - It's only 45mins from here in Gloucestershire
I'm with you on the promotion aspect, rather take a few more seasons and build a squad up and then get promoted and stay up, than rush through this season, and find the squad don't hold together.
It's looking to be a good and interesting season for alot of clubs with the movements and things going on, we'll just have to see what happens |

Been a poor start for us as weve lost agaisnt Stoke and just managed to edge past Brighton in the Coca Cola cup thing. Desperatly need a Striker by the sounds of it. Fowler missing till Sept it seems. |
