unlock weapons

i got to sergeant atm but when i could unlock a weapon i didn't do it right away...
still didn't pick one out because i can't find how to go to unlock weapon menu or whatever it is... or can i only unlock it when i get to staff sergeant?

You do get an unlock at staff sergeant. I personally hate the way it works and it needs sorting. 1stly it takes a while to update so log off for an hour or so then log back in, load up a game and get a point. it'll then say you've been promoted. Quit the game then log in, you should then have the option to choose a new weapon

calmae what i mean is i'm seargent that's not the problem but when i had the chance to unlock a new weapon i said i was gonna unlock it later....now i can't find where it can be unlocked..

Well what should happen is if you didnt choice to unlock any weapon each time you login you should see the origional window pop up showing the DAO Antitank weapon of which you can browse to the other weopons etc. if that doesnt pop up each time then are you sure you havnt picked a weapon without realising?

Hi,
Since I'm reading this post, thought I might ask a related question myself. Can I just verify with anyone out here that the unlockable weapon best used for Spec Ops would be the G36C(commando version) right? I seriously like Spec Ops but the Carbine is seriously increasing my fatality rate.. I'm the one thats SUPPOSED to drop others like FLIES... not the OTHER WAY ROUND. Haha...
Frankly, I have a hell of a time playing Spec Ops, Sniper and Anti-Tank...

G36C is a great weapon when used right Smile

make sure u use it on single shot from distance, but yes its much better then the standard Spec Ops weapons Smile

thanks... Just finish another game session. I think I'm gettin better at Spec Ops...
They rock... when face to face with Sniper, I dun give sniper a dam... I just drop them with my carbine..
Somehow in this game, I feel sniper is really not easy to play cause the distance to snipe is really far for most maps and ppl are smart enough to keep jumpin and movin, so you'll never get single shot kill... Once u shoot they know where you are and will just hide or start shootin u as well...
So hard being a sniper.. I love Spec Ops..! Just like MI 5 in Alias... Haha...
Blew up artillery cannon and UAVs again....
One last question, is there any damage difference when I shoot using carbine from longer and shorter distance???

I don't think it matters in the distance just harder to hit, depends where u hit them, obviously in the head is better Smile

and yeah the sniper is hard to use but i like using it on a few maps.

The G36 is fantastic close or medium range.

The sniper role is great in wider/open maps or if you make best use of the concealment to get up close to an enemy flag and and have a squad spawn off you.

The snipers cammo allied with M95 can be most effective. You can also be a spotter of course as assault troops go ahead of you into a flag. There are spawns where you can lie and watch your targets appear time after time!!! Wake and Gulf as examples Twisted Evil

just out of intrest has anyone here shot down an airplane with AT? as I have been practicing and its usually pretty straight forward to get helicopters (asssuming they're not diving away).
If so.. any tips?
