Now thats interesting guys I have a laptop at work and use Mozilla TBH I think its c**p, very slow to load and run but then I'm using XP pro on a 800mhz laptop and it kinda sucks. But from your recommendations I think I'll try firefox instead. thx for the tips

YOU COULD RUN A FREEWARE PROGRAM CALLED "HIJACKTHIS" WHICH IN A SECOND DETAILS ALL THAT GOES ON DURING START UP.

IF YOU DON'T SPOT ANY ANOMALIES (?) FINE. IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT THERE ARE MANY GEEKY FORUMS THAT FLOURISH FROM PEOPLE SENDING THEIR "HIJACKTHIS" LOGS IN AND DECIPHERING THE NASTIES.

IF IN DOUBT KEEP A FIREWALL UP, ZONE ALARM UPDATED REGULAR HAS SUITED ME. ALSO THERE ARE MULTIPLE VIRUS CHECKERS ON THESE GEEK FORUMS I.E. "EWIDO" AND "PANDA" DO AN ONLINE ONLY VIRUS SWEEP.

OBVIOUSLY AVG IS RECOMMENDED BY MANY.
