LoL Mrix i just got it from ebgames here! had to buy the friggin collectors edition as the normal one was sold out! Surprised

Are we gonna have a |2es server sorted out for the UK release date?

Just finished playing a few quick rounds, sooo friggin intense!

The screenshot of the top score was mainly due to me getting like 8 kills from 1 air strike lol.

But yeah, i can see this game being one hell of an addiction. GET IT!

And mrix, hurry up and get a Res server Razz

Ok what more could you want from an online FPS?

We have...
3 kill streak = UAV
5 kill streak = Air Strikes
7 kill streak = Helicopter support
Ranks & stats
unlockable guns, abillities, accessories
Knifing people, throwing their nades back, cooked nades, sprinting.
16 MP maps

MP Modes which include..
Free-for-All - Every man for himself.

Team Deathmatch - Use teamwork to kill opposing players and reach score limit.

Team Objective - Domination and Search & Destroy. Capture flags in Domination, with respawning. Destroy and defend objectives in Search & Destroy, no respawning.

Team Tactical - Small team Deathmatch and Search & Destroy.

Capture the Flag - Try to steal the enemy's flag and return it to your base.

Search and Destroy - Much like Counter-Strike's bomb planting mode, there are two teams: attackers and defenders. Attackers try to plant a bomb at one of two bomb sites, and defenders try to defend the bomb sites. If explosives are planted, defenders must defuse them. Players only have one respawn per round. A round is over when all players on one team are killed, or when the bomb explodes or is defused.

Headquarters - A radio spawns somewhere on the map. Your goal is to capture the radio for your team. If Team A captures the radio, they must defend it from being destroyed by Team B. Team A will only have one respawn until the radio is destroyed or the max time limit for the radio is reached. Team B will respawn at set intervals. Team A earns points for every second the radio is held. To capture/destroy a radio, you must stand in the area of the radio. The more players, the faster you destroy it. A new radio spawns when time limit is reached or the radio is destroyed.

Domination - There are flags at certain points around the map. All flags start neutral. Teams battle to hold the most flags. Game ends when the time limit is reached, or the score limit is reached.

Sabotage - Similar to Search and Destroy, only the bomb is neutral and there are objectives located in both teams' bases. Each team's goal is to take the bomb and blow up the objective in the enemy's base. The bomb carrier can fire his weapons, but his position will be announced periodically throughout the game. Also, unlike Search and Destroy, players will have unlimited respawns as opposed to just one per round.

I'm sorry guys, but this is the best FPS i've played since i first got addicted to BF2 and COD2 years ago.

You can have upto 32 player servers Smile

but i muse say, 32 is damn hectic! lol great for the air strikes and chopper attacks tho!

Oh i know a few people from other communites who say they are getting this, those places wont be having a server though so if we do get one for 2es i will get them to support it (with a big stick in need be). Smile

Cyrus that looks wicked thanks for the pics. How much from the High Street? £30?

What are the tag symbols on the score board? Do you get to fly the choppers? I give BF2 10/10, what do you give BF2, what do you give this?

Do you think this will kill BF2? Should Crysis be worried?

You can't fly the choppers, you basically call one in and it flys about across the map back and forth shooting at people in the open mowing them down pretty quick, the other team can shoot at it and get it down quicker.

The airstrike is a lil different, you have a map appear and you click where you want to drop it.

You can also blow up cars across the maps which cause huge explosions and will kill anyone close enough.

Oh and once you unlock one of the abilities, you can shoot through thin wood and walls which is good if you want to take someone out in weak cover.

Last stand is also a fun ability, when you get shot and die ur laying there with ur pistol allowing you to finish someone off, but you have to unlock and have it as one of ur abilities tho and i really don't think it's worth it.

The tag symbols are just the people that died as the round ended i believe.

I think this will have a much bigger multiplayer audience then Crysis, don't get me wrong, Crysis will be an amazing single player game, but i think its too much like Far Cry and doesn't have alot to the MP like this does (i haven't played the COD4 single player except for the demo ofcourse and that was awesome)

Also it doesn't take a beast to run it with everything on high like Crysis, i have everything up on high except shadows and i'm not running the best system.

I will say tho, this game is pretty HARD, its just like the rest of the Call of duty series, you have to be so careful and not run around so much like a cannon fodder like i do lol. I mean on BF2 you could stand in the open and kill a few people no probs even if they are shooting at you because it takes a few bullets even to the head to kill someone on BF2. On this however you can easily be one shotted in the head or taken down in a few shots if you run out in the open like a mad man, which makes the game really intense especially if ur not playing deathmatch.

1927, when i first started playing BF2 it was def a 10/10 for me m8, nothing could tear me away from it and i just had to get that 1 promotion!

COD4 is def a 10/10 for me, it has that same addiction, same ambition for gaining higher ranks, and you also have challenges which get ur more unlocks and encourages people not to use the same gun all the time.
The teamwork and skill involved is great and the way you can throw back enemy nades is great except if they cook them good like me lol.

Oh and the price question, its $49.99 for the normal version, $59.99 for the collectors edition over here.

If you are a Call Of Duty fan i'd say def get it, if u have never played any of the COD series i'd say GET IT but be prepared for the change because it will frustrate u at times with the quick accurate kills and faster gameplay.

Also, any news on a server for us Mrix?
