Call of Duty 4 Addictive

As many of you know I only ever play around 1 to 3 rounds max in most games but last night I lost track of the ammount of rounds I must have played Confused

Call of Duty 4 becomes very addictive which I believe to be a great part to any game Very Happy

Call of Duty 4 is a quality fun game but my biggest worry is how everyone is ranking up so fast Crying or Very sad

, I am sure the ranking is playing a major part of the fun and addiction so after the top ranks have been achieved what will happen ? Crying or Very sad

Yes i muyst admit ill be getting the game soon and when i heard cyrus was allready like rank 30 something i was ike thats abit fast and apparently a few hours of good can get you past rank 20. So lets hpe they dnt give all the ranks to easily.

providing you get kills during a round and complete challenges you get extra XP which boosts you up quicker. Once you reach lvl 55 you have a choice

get an special icon and start from lvl one again, therefore redoing all the challenges and leveling back up

Or keep your lvl 55 icon and have no more challenges

Choice is yours

you need a virtual reward to strive for? you have real jobs for that. the fun is the gameplay, even rpg fans know that reaching max level is only where wow starts.

Its quite clear to everyone that ranks achievements is a fun and addictive part of gameplay thats why BF2 and BF2142 used them and thats why COD 4 and Crysis have jumped onboard.

The fact is darth in bf2 for instance if the awards wernt there no matter how good the game was people wont play the same maps and the same game for years if there not achiving anything for doing it.

Bf2 ended for me when they added the 2.3 patch i think. it was were they made it incredibly easy to get ranks befor that patch ranks actualy meant something and took affort to obtain. Then in one tank shot on a full blackhawk i was ranked up 5 times and all unlocks were mine in an instant.

Thus meaning i had nothing more other than awards i could obtain and realy all the i wanted after that were golds and not long after the game lost its appeal.

Cyrus is ranked 47 Very Happy

nearly 48, and i haven't been playing it all day everyday. It's very easy to rank up as long as you do the challenges.

With all the different game modes, and the customization in the game, i don't see it getting boring at all. The only reason i went off BF2 was because of the stuipid tank spawn whore killers and people killing you to get in the jets etc, that isn't a problem in COD4 Smile

Best thing about ranking up so quick and easy, not too long every will have every gun and perk so the game will be alot more balanced.

Also we have hardcore mode we can play when people get use to the game which'll make it even more fun to play Razz

its intresting because cs has no unlocks or ranks. and guess what its bigger than: bf2,2142,cod4, and crysis COMBINED.

hell yeah balance, the most important thing in an mp game.

Yes and how many of those cs players are just l33t 8 year olds using hacks because they cant get away with hacking easily in the other games.

I havnt defended bf2 in anything ive said in this post i simply said making the awards to easy to get was a bad idea bassicaly.

I guess the only good thing about it is if the unlocks in cod are easy to get then atleast we wont get the isue of all the long term players owning the casuals because they have all the unlocks and the casual players dont.

Unlocs dont bother me that much, i have a couple of times gone a couple of unlocks without even realising. Sopme people just like that treadmill though i suppose.

As for COD4 being addictive, i'd say it is and then some, its good enough that i haven't even touched TF2 at all since playing it though i'll be playing both i imagine.
