WEAPONS UNLOCKS?

I have been doing some research and have been getting no where fast. I recently purchased the Special Forces expansion for BF2 simply to get more weapons. I have heard that they are supposed to go retrotactive and will unlock according to what rank your are. I just got to Master Sgt. 20,000 pts only to be disappointed by having my unlocks be either shot gun... I want the better sniper riffle L951A? and the better medic weapon G356C? something like that... Ive played a few games in special forces now and nothing has happened so I think I'm going to start another account. PLEASE ADVISE!!! I need better guns! I hate having to kill someone and taking it from their cold dead fingers. jk. But you get the point. Thanks alot.

Hi,
You need to have the first weapon unlocked before it will give you the second!,
so for instance you want the sniper's L951A .. which means you have to unlock the M95 first. Once you reach your next unlock whichever kit you choose , it will also unlock the Special Forces one.
I hope this makes sense!
Also you earn an unlock each time you rank up until you have them all

Yep scunny's right, here's a typed order of the weapons for your refernce:

MEDIC: L85A1 >> G36E
ANTI-TANK: DAO-12 >> P90
SPEC OPS: G36 >> SCAR-L
SUPPORT: PKM >> MG36
SNIPER: M95 >> L96A1
ASSAULT: G3 >> F2000
ENGINEER: MK3A1 >> MP7

So as scunny was saying- to get the L96A1, you must unlock the M95 first. I know how you feel dude, im 15,000 points away from my next ,and final unlock, rank and im gagging for the L96A1 like a horny jack russell for a soft toy Laughing

Thanks for the replies, I know that in order to unlock weapons on the second tier you have to unlock the first. I read that the Special FOrces Expansion is a retroactive patch that allows you to redeem unlocks after you've already achieve ranks... since I'm at Mstr Sgt I should be getting 5 unlocks....? But nothing has happened so far... any advice?

I could be wrong and I think it's been suggested but sometimes you need to finish the round, log off BF2 and then back on, as after you have entered your acc details and you get to main menu it should tell you have been promoted and offer your choice of unlock.....I think.

Yep, you have to finish a SF round to get the unlocks. I got 4 unlocks when I installed and played a whole round of SF.

Whoowah! I logged out of my account, played a few games and then logged back out again, then the oh so glorious drum tapping sound echoed though my surround sound like ten virgins on my bed, neck hair on end and bonner in pocket! 6 delightable unlocks were awaiting my ever supple touch of my right index finger! Ok ok enough. I got what I need thanks guys for responding... now to my virgins lol.

My misses got a jack russell, next time he's humping something, ill get it on mobile phone video for you if your into that kinda stuff MadToolz LOL!
