Cod 4 Screwed

Hey all got a problem with cod atm bassically i was just playing on server as usual no probs then i close game for 10 mins come back reload the game and it takes over a minute to load and when i go ingame it laggs unplayably and i had a ping of over 200.

Ive tried again and the ping is gone down but the game still lags unplayably and im realy annoyed cause i didnt do anything to cause it.

dunno if it'll help mate but you could try getting the latest graphics drivers or if you already have them, reinstall them. might help.. just trying to find something about your problem now.

Also try putting this in your console ingame seta com_maxfps "0" to turn off any fps restrictions.

edit. Also try turning off vsync in ur graphics options as that'll also hinder your fps a bit.

Ill try it but like i say ive done nothing is running Perfectly find for the last few weeks lol and i did nothing whatsioever to cause any probs which is a pain

lol ok just reinstalled cod to try fix the prob and well no change whatsoever and now cant even install the patch cause it says cd key is invalid wohoo Rolling Eyes

well u could try and email activison and see if there tech guys are just as good as the ea pals

hey i had the same problem only lasted for a few days why dont u restart ur router might help you, mine went like that and after i restarted the router it worked fine i think its just one of those things can happen to anyone Smile

Was your xfire running each time you tried to get ingame???
I had an issue with xfire today where BF2 crashed on loading everytime.... I then noticed xfire was running and decided to switch it off and it fixed the problem.
