I won't be able to make the IO night tonight, hubs sister is staying the night, she's 17 and needs the old 'don't take your relationship with your bf too seriously' talk Of course she probably won't listen to me with me being one of the oldies in her life, but it's worth a try.
Enjoy the peace & quiet in TS without me!

Where your interest is relatively healthy Mook, starsky's is bordering on the gary glitter |

Wenchy as you may remember Im not in the best posistion to give those kind of chats.
Not my fault, nothing I could do about it but its looking more and more likely I'll be a double Grampy come end of summer.
Not what I had hoped or planned (same with the kids) but its happened, it's no longer an IF so I can do nothing but give the the kids all the support I can now. |

She's a fairly sensible girl, but her studies are starting to slide a little since she has got with her new bf, she's never been in a serious realationship and has a pretty big crush on this lad, so we are a little worried. Obviously being 17 she is old enough to make the decision whether to make the relationship more serious, but she just needs the odd reminder that this boy isn't the be all & end all of her life, and that it's likely that he won't even be on the scene next year.
She is desperate to be a midwife (we let her be at Alanah's birth when she was 15 to see whether she really wanted to make that her career) So she really needs to keep her head with her studies, places in midwifery college are very short in supply and only given to those who have the highest grades and drive, so she really needs to make this year at 6th form and her nursing degree at uni count.
Her best frends baby is due next week, she is only 16. She is being a fantastic support for her friend, she loves kids and is fantastic with ours (she is the only person that I let babysit the kids) Luckily, although she knows she definately wants kids, she knows that she doesn't want them until she is at least 25-26, probably older, she wants to get her career off the ground first.
We just wish that her sister who turned 18 last week (there is only 11 months between them) were as sensible as her
