I totally agree with you that it is early, however I haven't seen Liverpool play like they are at the min for years and I can only prey that it will continue and if it does continue they will win the league ! I agree to an extent regarding having your best players injured and that used to be the case with Liverpool and Gerrard but when they thrashed a mediocre Derby county they didn't have Gerrard or Carragher and that's the big plus they have got now which they haven't had in years.
Only time will tell though and ill keep my fingers crossed |

Hello,
As things stand the top of the Premier League looks like this
1. (73 points) Manchester United
2. (68 points) Chelsea
3. (67 points) Arsenal
4. (59 points) Liverpool
Each team has played 31 games.
It is difficult to see Liverpool winning the league after Saturdays 3-0 defeat to Manchester United especially since Mascherano is now banned. There is also a real danger of them not qualifying for the Champions League next year. Cristian Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney for Manchester United have been the difference between Manchester United and the others.
Each of these four teams are in the quarter finals of the Champions League. April looks like an unbelivable month for English football. Who needs the European Championships this summer anyway?.
Cheers, Slaggy. |

Best league in the world and you can see why.
Both the top and bottom will go to the last weekend I think.
Man Utd in the driving seat, Arsenal have lost the chance I think, the momentum between those two is now with Chelsea. Will Man Utd let it go as at the moment it's theres to loose? I don't think so but I think Chelsea might.
I predict:
1. Man Utd
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. Liverpool
Relegated
18. ??? << Haven't a clue.
19. Fulham
20. Derby
Which is pretty much as it stands.
Sunday 13th April Man Utd v Arsenal
Saturday 26th April Chelsea v Man Utd
Man Utd also have to travel to Blackburn which won't be an easy game. Thats a cliche I suppose as there won't be any easy games left now with European places, Titles and Relegation up for grabs.
I fully agree about Ronaldo though, what an incredible season he has had so far and IMO is the best in the world. A winger that has already scored 30+ goals.
Torres has been an inspiration for Liverpool and its easy for me to say but Benitez should of played him week in/week out.
Utd or Chelsea (if poss) to win Champions League
Portsmouth to win FA Cup |

I would prefer Manchester United or Liverpool to win before Arsenal or Chelsea but in the Champions League I will support wichever English club makes the final as long as it isn't Arsenal or Chelsea .
Torres has had a great season but it hasnt been enough to keep Liverpool up there.

I don't mind who wins what really other than us and the Fa Cup.
My only hatred is aimed at Bristol City and Swansea. We have just done Bristol City on Saturday in the best atmosphere we have had for years.
The reason I say Man Utd or Chelsea (if poss) is due to the draw, Im not sure how its panned out. All english final would be excellent. I suppose that means Arsenal arn't playing in it then
I don't mind if Bristol or Swansea get promoted by I do care about us winning the cup and Wrexham staying in the league. |

Hmm Ive gotta admit fella's that I'm very disappointed in Liverpool this season especially after all the money they spent last summer.I really do hope Man utd win it this season as they thoroughly deserve it due to the excellent football Ronaldo & co have produced week in week out (even tho I hate to say it)! I also agree that Ronaldo is the best player in the World at the minute and the frightening thing about him is that he will only get better! I think we should all be happy which ever team you support that we have got a player like him in our league!
As for the Champions league that's a different matter IMO as I really do think Liverpool could get there again as Benitez is an excellent European tactician which he has proved Season after Season. The only thing I hope for is that we can beat Arsenal and avoid Man Utd at all costs and if we do that we can do it!
Btw Slaggy I was chuffed to bits that Spurs won the Carling Cup as they have played some excellent football this Season as well. |

I was gutted when Beckam left and then Henry left.
I have never nor will support either team they played for but your dead right we should be thankful they were on our MOTD rather than Machos ola Dayos or whatever it is in Spain.
My first love was Liverpool and I still can't get my head round why they sold Rushie, at the time he was the best there was aswell.
To have the best league you need the best players for starters.
I appriciate how you can't make your players stay but should do the upmost to keep them, same for internationals aswell, Mr Mclaren. |

Geordie don't get sucked into the paper talk nonsense about how much we spent in the summer (or rotation or El Nino not playing often enough -again paper talk from journos too lazy to actually watch games or do any research). Squad wise we didn't spend any more than normal, our net spend was around the usual 20-25 million, the higher overall spend part funded with player sales. As is usual, United outspent us.
That said the season has been a disappointment but the reasons arent quite what the press like to spout. Its believe its more a question of mentality and uncertainty. The players don't seem to believe they can challenge domestically, put us against any of the big boys in Europe and you see a confident focused Liverpool side take to the pitch, against the top 3 in the prem though and that confidence evaporates, especially against the bloody mancs.
That lack of belief added to the fiasco off the pitch in the last 12-18 months and especially from November 07 onwards knocked the stuffing out of any potential challenge. To be honest I wasn't one of the fans thinking we would win it but i did believe we would be challenging more than we are.
As for who will win it now, it makes me physically sick to say it but its United all the way i think. I'd love Chelsea to nick them to it but its not going to happen IMO. Arsenal are a spent force and always were overachieving. Ronaldo is a freak of nature and good bet for World player of the year but the difference is Rooney for me, the ugly little shrek lookalike finds space so well and is also adept at dragging defenders away for Ronaldo's surges from deep. Without Rooney, Ronaldo is much easier to handle. |

Well I think you play your best players week in week out, I know its a long season with a lot of games but players can get crocked while being rested during training aswell, not just in a game. You also play them in their best posistions week in week out, for eg Kuyt as a winger? as oftens the case, I wouldnt do that but then Ive never managed a team other than on "Football Manager", thats the beauty about football, having opinions.
Babel will come good, its his first year and needs more time, Dutchies often do. Crouch has been treated harshly I think, sometimes you need to go route one, 1-0's this season would of done Liverpool a world of good.
I think Rafa could be a better man manager and that would help because surely as a player you have had a cracking game one week, train hard, and then get dropped, you need consistancy.
Mouriniho was good with the rotating thing but then he had a bigger squad I suppose, I also believe all the uncertanty off the field hasnt helped. Will Rafa get sacked? Will they back him, then it was will they sell the club? and then one partner wants away from the other. Im sure it effected Chelsea in the run up to Jose going.
I think Rafa is good for the game and would hate to see him leave just like Jose, some say Jose is lined up to come in and if Rafa dosen't go Gerrard will. I hope the ive him time with his new'ish looking squad which has seen success's this season with bringing new players in. |

Only way to play Crouchie is to play Gerrard on the right, resulting in the toys being thrown out the pram again. |

Who are the wingers other than?
Babel
Kewell (getting ready for his Champ League final game I reckon )
Pennant
I thinks Gerrard is wasted out wide, just tucked in behind a striker/strikers is where I'd have him. |
