Hey folks, me again with another hardware based post Rolling Eyes

Nvidia just released a new driver for the 9 series GPU's- most importantly the Quad SLI function is now available for those with, a big f'n wallet mind, two 9800GX2's using a SLI connector.
Note: Using more than two GPU's requires Vista,
i.e. if your still on XP, get with the times ya hippy Razz

To put it in perspective for y'all- the Radeon 3870 X2 is better value for money and can run on both an AMD 580X/790X/790FX and Intel P35/X38/X48 mobos. If money is no option then the two 8900GX2's, on a nvidia chipset mobo- Intel CPU only, is the job.

So what were looking at is sticking two GPU cores together and calling it 'high-end'. Jesus what next? britney spears starts her own premier wig company, the dahli lama stops off for a chinese on the home. Confused

More pointless money to spend on graphics cards that people don't even need, but buy because they need to have the best available lol.
Over the last year there has only been 1 game that has stretched my computer and that was Crysis which was a disappointment anyways.

Stick with your medium rigs guys, they run pretty much anything fine and you can actually use some money on other stuff that won't be outdated within a few months Razz

Yep spot on Cyrus, i don't even have an 8 series gfx card yet let alone top end. My aulde 1950 still plays everything I've tried including Crysis and Bioshock, maybe not quite as pretty as some people rigs make it but good enough and fast enough.
