Hi all, finally the BF2142 1.5 Patch has been released...

Yer that's right DICE has released a brand new patch for BF2142 which includes load of new features and fixes including:-

Improvements to server stability
Two new maps: Operation Shingle and Wake Island 2142
A new game type Conquest Assault supported in Wake Island 2142
No Vehicles mode

ATTENTION!

Ladies and gentlemen with a widescreen monitor. Put down your COD4, leave your Conan at home- this patch ROCKS!

The widescreen resos are fan-f*cking-tastic! Wake Island and Operation Shingle are not to miss!

If you've got a copy of BF2142, dust it off and put this patch in, you wont regret it folks!

Well i dunno if they done it properly in this patch but it was possible to do widescreen resolution before with a bit of tweaking dunno if the built in way would look much better.

I don't know how about you guys, but I can't open the bloody site! Evil or Very Mad

Is there another site? I tried to download from EA website (where it said in clear black and white about new update released) but it gives me the same old 1.4 version (deceptive or stupid?) and the game keeps telling me that the update is now available but instead bumping me to EA store site where it asks me to buy the game again. (Stupid or EA?) Damn this is infuriating!

Any ideas?

And another thing - I found the "patch" file on other sites other than EA but when I am installing it - the Wizard tells me that I already have the latest version of the game but when I start the game - it says that updates are available... Question

There are two links at the start of this thread. (Top of the Page)

One is the download for the incremental 1.40 >1.50 patch and the other for the 1.50 full patch.

when you go to down load it they both say the same and both are the same size????

Full patch is 500Mb+
Whilst the incremental is 100MB+

BTW!
if you want to enable widescreen resolutions to BF2142 v1.50 here's how to do it:

Right click your BF2142.exe/BF2142 icon, select 'Properties', select the 'Shortcut' tab if not selected already. In the 'Target' field replace "+fullscreen 1" with "+widescreen 1", should look like this now:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142 Deluxe Edition\BF2142.exe" +menu 1 +widescreen 1

Once that has been applied, start up BF2142, go to the 'Video' section of the 'Options' screen and select a widescreen resolution of your choose from the drop down menu.
My fav is 1280x800 (16:10)
