Yeah, in this patch they are adding DX9 support plus the ability to play BF2 on an amiga 500 lol oh wait thats not quite as dated is it? hehe
In all seriousness, it's about time they released a patch to fix all the little bugs in bf2. hopefully it'll also delete the dolphin diving g36 medic whoring twits. |

wow. whats wrong with being a "dolphin diving g36 medic whoring twit"
sounds good. also maybe this is a sign. the latest cod 4 patch came out a few weeks ago, then next thing you know they announce cod 5! who knows maybe we could soon be seeing bf3 soon. would make sence for them to cure all the bugs and complaints and re-ignite interest in there last game before introducing its replacement.
or maybe just wishfull thinking. |

Do hope they add widescreen resos (16:9 & 16:10) with the new patch.
It was very successful addition to BF2142 - though i cant help but wonder why they didnt add widescreen in the first place?
After some sniffing around i found out that DICE didnt want to add widescreen resolutions to either BF2 or BF2142 because they saw them as a 'competitve advantage' over players who had a normal 4:3 monitor. reason or excuse? ay, i dont know
Widescreen resolutions only provide 20% more horizontal Field Of View (FOV), thats 10% per side, compared to their 4:3 counterpart.
go figure ay?
One thing i noticed on BF2142 is that the EU SMG, part of the Engineer kit, in 16:9/16:10 is completely visible compared to being only partly visible in 4:3.
You never know, you might be able to see them "dolphin diving g36 medic whoring twit"s coming at ya a little better |

LoL wicker, BF2 would be alot better if they would implement the same gun accuracy when going prone or crouching thats in 2142, that really does help with dolphin divers and prone spammers in 2142. |

Nope, and it's starting to p*ss me off.
To be honest, they've got alot of work to do, its similar to a 40 year male with a beer gut who hasnt been in the gym or physically active since he was 20. Its an up hill struggle with getting back into shape, working to a rountine and eating properly over a long period of time until you get to the final result- much is the same with this situtation.
Its been a while since they touched the BF2 code, part of the team that created the technology for the game are now part of THQ and are called Kaos Studios- who created FFOW: the reason why its so like BF2 and put to f*ck with bugs.
So DICE have now to go back over the code with almost a new set of people and work over what they want to change of it, i mean sh*t, have they even decided what they are going to change, fix or add to the code yet?
Christ, it be a little less frustrating if they just release a statement saying which stage there at with it and what are the chances of the open beta being available, maybe even a 'so far' change log, then i'd be happy knowing at least something is being done.
P.S. rant over, anything comes out i'll let y'all know quicker than duffer consuming a bottle of Tennessee's finest |
