source mods

valve have just released a load of mods on steam , some look pretty good and they are free , zombie panic looks quite a laugh , all you need is a source game to play such as half life 1 or 2 or counterstrike , the modern warefare one looks ok too if we can get enough of us to get one mod downloaded we ought to have a blast

I have also tried the Half Life 2 Episode 2 that come with Team fortess 2 orange box that I didnt know I had Laughing

anyway am playing it and its very good.. quality and textures seem better? is this dx10?

Unfortunatly HL2: EP2 isnt DX10- but its actually DX9.c with HDR (High Definition Rendering)- which actually looks almost just as good as DX10 Smile

Even though not DX10, they have definately improved the graphics, as the textures are far better than Episode 1.

I'm downloading Insurgency. So if others are going on there, that would be good.

If others are trying the Zombie one, let us know if that is good too. I quite fancy that Smile

I had Insurgency for about a few hours then my comupter when do hickey larry.

Dont worry, computer was too blame. But the mod itself was interesting- no crosshairs- iron sights for aiming (unless you got an aimbot) and the abitlity to mount your machine gun onto windows and legdes etc. Certainly made for an interesting few hours of gameplay Very Happy

just downloading hl2 again as i removed it and all the mods have come up automatic , so will try , maybe we can have a bash this w/end with one together guys

The Zombie Panic mod is a ton of fun, i couldn't stop playing it earlier.
