BF2 CTF :)

For some of us oldies out here who used to love a bit of ctf carnage i am sure this will bring in some news.

The mod is due to be released this sunday by the DEVS Smile

This has got good ratings already and it hasnt been released yet, i cant wait, bring on the carnage that once was.

Thats right folks.

CTF on BF2. Open tests of a new GamePlayMode.

The file is 89MB just install the client on your PC.
Once you have it, you can play in select servers that are running the CTF Server

And select your choice of d/l destination

OK noob Install instructions

Download the .exe from one of the mirrors

>>>run the exe
>>>if you dont have BF2 installed on your C drive make sure the drive in the install patch is correct.

>>>after its done load up BF2 sign into the account server and once in the menu go to community then Custom game
and select Dcon from the list and click Activate in the bottom corner.

Your bf2 will restart into DCon mod once in go to Multiplayer and the CTF servers will appear choose your Server and hit join

and you will load into that CTF server

There are currently 11 servers in operation, make sure you untick map size filters as this stops the servers from showing...if you have any problems with servers not showing up that is

OK i played this tonight for a good hour and it is bloody awesome, well worth the download.

I hate wake island but ctf mod makes it a brill map Smile

Get downloading guys and give it a try now

I have heard people say tonight "what is CTF???"

CTF is pure carnage!!!

Gameplay is simple, there are 2 uncapable bases which house a flag. Coalition and opposition.

Its the job of the coalition to enter the oppositions base, steal there flag and get it back to the home base of the coalition...flagged captured Smile

and vica cersa for the opposition.

Along the route are capable bases just like normal BF2...there are NO COMMANDERS in this game Smile

This is all about team work and using all the characters....this is what makes teams.

This mod is still being worked on as it is still in it's early stages, but it is getting some awesome reviews, and so far i have seen Rouge Dev and myself in the servers and we are in agreement....THIS ROCKS.

SO get it downloaded, installed and lets have a game

Really looking forward to giving this a spin.

I used to play CTF in MW4 a couple of years ago and that was a blast. Looks like this will be too. Wink

I know what ya saying assassin but as far as im concerned this mod (especially once out of beta stage) enhances the real game so much I will probably play that less Laughing

To be totally honest in my view we already have a great new game bf2 Standard with 13 maps Very Happy

how anyone can get fed up with it at this early stage is disapointing really Crying or Very sad

there is just still so much more to learn in the standard BF2 Wink

we have only just started it really and as a clan we should be focusing on it. I have played CTF in varius games over the years and for a while its fun but after a short while its always back to the normal game. But saying that if anyone likes it definately play it as its all about having fun fun fun thats what we are here for Exclamation
